Mel's Perspectives
I stirred, my eyelids fluttering open. "Hmm..."
Bauer nudged me with his snout. "Get up..."
I groaned. "Mmm..."
"Wake up...!" Bauer's voice grew more insistent.
"Uwaaaaahhh! A dragon! Bauer!?" I bolted upright, looking around frantically.
"Oh right... it's just me, Mel." Bauer's tone was amused.
Come to think of it, I committed suicide... I thought, my expression troubled.
"Then, where is everyone?" I asked, looking up at Bauer.
"If it's Zect and the others, they went to the underworld." Bauer's voice was matter-of-fact.
"I see, the underworld... By the way, why am I the only one here?" I furrowed my brow in confusion.
"Well, you're the only one who can't die yet." Bauer's words were tinged with a hint of amusement.
Desperation crept into my voice. "Why... Isn't suicide okay? It's not like it's not allowed... Then that should apply to Lida and Maria too!"
"I don't usually tell humans much about the underworld, but... well, since you're Ceres' adopted daughter, I'll tell you a little..." Bauer's voice took on a serious tone. "When someone dies, they undergo a 'judgment' where their entire past is examined. Then, after death, it is decided how they will live in the underworld... well, some will live a funny life... and some will live in a hellish place..."
"I see... That's something I didn't know before." My voice was thoughtful.
"So, Mel, I've got a video of the man who evaluated you and he's wondering what would be best for you." Bauer's voice was calm, but there was a hint of something else in it.
"Did I do something wrong... Am I going to be sent to a hellish place?" I asked anxiously.
"That's not it... Look in your pocket." Bauer's voice was gentle.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out a necklace. "This necklace I got from Ceres a long time ago... What's wrong with it?"
"It became a problem that you received it from Ceres... According to the appraiser, it was imbued with feelings and could be considered an 'engagement'... For humans, giving a necklace is apparently a proposal of marriage." Bauer's voice was wry.

I really liked Zect.
But... Zect only talked to Lida and Maria, and didn't pay any attention to me.

A mirror appeared in front of me, who gasped as I saw myself reflected back as a 15-year-old. "What does this mean?" I asked.
"I cast a spell to extend your life to 800 years..." Bauer explained, a hint of pride in his voice, "so you can stay in that form until you die... you'll be happy, right?"
I hesitated for a moment before nodding slowly. "Is it okay?"
"Oh yes, but in return, this is only once..." Bauer warned, his tone serious, "I'll dispose of it."
"Oh, Ceres' necklace... ah..." I said, my voice trailing off as the necklace disappeared before her eyes.
"Well then... let's return you to the world." Bauer said, his voice returning to its usual light tone.
"Thank you..." I said, her voice soft with gratitude.

I shouldn't have said thank you...
That d*mn Bauer...
If he's so great, why don't he just think anything else.
Maria and Lida lying dead under the cover of Zect... Luna and Marin disappeared... and I, who became young again...
The princes were panicking.

They... They definitely dumped all the troublesome stuff on me...
'Since Mel-sama is Zect-sama's concubine... Kohane's queen will be Mel-sama.'
