"What about entering the Empire Academy?"
"What should I do?"
"The Empire favors the 'strong,' so Serena-sama will undoubtedly be accepted."
"Well, that's good then..."
"The problem is what happens after you get accepted."
"After I get accepted?"
Who exactly is Serena-sama?
He's hopelessly illiterate in modern history... but other than that, he's nearly perfect.
In this state, why would he need to attend the academy?
"Serena-sama is too exceptional... Even if you get accepted, with a little effort, you'll quickly graduate by skipping grades."
"Well, that's not good."
"And, um, Serena-sama, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Why does Serena-sama want to go to the academy?"
"Why are you asking me that?"
"You don't need to learn swordsmanship, magic, or knowledge anymore. Unless Serena-sama wants to join the military, it doesn't seem like you have any reason to go."
"Well... it's because of what my dad and uncle said... about making friends and all."
This is ridiculous.
It may sound strange for me to say this, but Serena-sama definitely has a preference for older people.
It seems he dislikes elves because they have small breasts, to the point of calling them "Pettan." He doesn't seem to be fond of talking to young girls either, from what I've observed.
"Even if Serena-sama goes to the academy, there won't be many people my age..."
"Really?"
"Yes."
I still don't understand why he wants to enter the academy in the first place.
Serena's POV
"But let me ask again, why do you want to go to the academy?"
"Huh!? Why do I want to go to the academy?"
Now that I think about it, I don't know why I want to go to the academy.
Even if I go there, there won't be any girls of the age to be considered romantic interests.
Younger kids are noisy, so I don't really want to be friends with them, regardless of gender.
Now that I think about it, Zect-oniichan and the others are like friends too...
Huh?
Then, why do I want to go to the academy?
"Think about it. For Serena-sama, it doesn't seem necessary to go, isn't it?"
"Hmm... That's right. Why do I want to go to the academy?"
There definitely won't be any girls I like.
I don't feel like there's much to learn either.
Now that I think about it, it's just because Dad and Zect-oniichan mentioned it. I thought, "Well, I guess I'll go," but I don't particularly want to.
If I think about it, maybe I don't need to go.
"Serena-sama, are you troubled by something?"
"No... Now that I've thought about it, I might not need to go to the academy."
"That's true... Serena-sama is probably more competent than the teachers, so there's no point in going."

"Something I want to do?"
"Yes, just do what Serena-sama enjoys and wants to do."

"Yes, there must be one or two things, right?"
"I don't... Fleur, do you have something you want to do?"
"I don't have anything in particular? I'm happy just being with Serena-sama, so I don't have any specific desires."
"What should I do then?"
"In that case, I think it's best to take your time and think about what you want to do."
"Yeah, you're right."
What shall I do then?
I might need to take some time to think about it.
