Volume 4 Chapter 26 Aerial Battle
Irial's magic is called "Wings of the White Robe (Sky Doll)." It is a flawless magic that unfolds wings with geometric patterns equipped with the function of a magic circle, allowing for the activation of various spells in both offense and defense.
Irial, who can instantly unleash powerful magic in succession, boasts unparalleled strength in close combat.
However, it was Roze who made the first move.
"Fifi, impale her!"
'Hahaha, leave it to me!'
The voice came from above.
It was an arrow darker than the night that flew to hide the moon.
Irial immediately activated a defensive spell to block the arrow. The impact exploded with light in front of her, and the defensive spell was broken in less than a second.
At the same time, Irial was leaping into the air. If she had taken a direct hit, half of her body would have been pierced.
But that wouldn't be enough to escape. The arrow pierced through the trees, crawling on the ground, and soared back into the sky.
"A bird?"
The true form of it was not an arrow, but a bird with four wings and a sharp beak. Its feathers were not feathers, but had a hard, armor-like shine, indicating its strength.
A familiar voice came from its mouth.
'You managed to dodge, huh? But it was a bad move to come up here. It's not just Zene (Crow) that can attack in the sky, you know.'
Is this bird Fifi's true form, or is Fifi controlling it?
When Irial tried to understand what Fifi was saying, she felt a chill from below and looked down.
She saw a giant light bullet approaching, about to shoot down Irial.
"!?"
She used her wings to escape from that spot. An unpleasant sound of burning air echoed, and the light bullet disappeared into the sky.
Below, Roze was looking up at her. However, unlike before, she was riding on a horse sideways, with a majestic horn growing from its head and radiating light. It was clear that it was not just an ordinary horse.
It seems that it was the one who shot the light bullet.
'You don't have time to be distracted!'
While distracted, Zene rushed in from behind. This time, Irial created multiple white spears and intercepted the attack, colliding with Zene head-on at a machine gun-like speed.
But the four-winged arrow didn't stop. It came at her, deflecting everything. It wasn't just its durability, but some kind of magic that was deflecting the attacks.
High-speed activation that ignores interference, troublesome.
Irial gave up on further interception and focused on evasion.
But she couldn't just keep dealing with Zene. The top priority now was to target the magician herself, Roze.
Roze was hiding in the forest using the horse's mobility. It was difficult to see due to the darkness, but by observing the movement of the branches and leaves, she could follow her.
Irial descended to a lower altitude and plunged into the forest just like Roze.
While skillfully avoiding the approaching trees at a terrifying speed, she pursued Roze.
'So you thought you could escape by hiding here!'
With Fifi's voice from behind, the sound of Zene tearing through obstacles could be heard.
But Iril had no intention of running away from the edge.
If Zene was getting in the way of chasing Roze, then she would eliminate it first.
Irial applied sudden brakes on the spot, killing her momentum. She felt a crushing pressure as if her internal organs were about to collapse, but twisted her body and escaped upwards.
Immediately after, Zene flew in from below.
"Haaaa!"
She had the upper hand. If the armor was thick, she would pierce it at close range.
The pattern of the "Wings of the White Robe (Sky Doll)" shone like a song, and magic power took shape.
"'Sephiliata (Radiant Spear of Annihilation).'"
It was a wide-range annihilating magic that would blow away everything. She concentrated it into a single point and shot it into Zene's back.
The sound that echoed around was no longer just a drilling noise. The sounds overlapped, and a shaking impact came from the depths of her stomach.
"Shatter!"
'Sh*tttt'
The four wings tried to escape and flutter, but it was already too late.
Numerous light spears shattered the defensive spell, pierced through the armor-like shell.
The tip hit the ground, causing dust to swirl. Zene also lost control and crashed into the depths of the forest.
