Volume 8 Chapter 10 Delicate Roaring Thunder
Tsukiko channeled lightning from the spear at her feet, relentlessly scorching Hitogata.
It had only been five minutes since Tsukiko received the communication from the Seijo branch. Ayaka and Koresawa had gone into battle, but an uneasy staff member took the initiative to contact Tsukiko. In the end, it proved to be effective.
"I made it in time."
Observing Ayaka embraced by Koresawa, Tsukiko murmured. If she had been even a step later, the outcome would have been uncertain.
Aware of the recent appearance of the "Mystery" known as Hitogata, Tsukiko knew it was a formidable opponent that even Ayaka and Koresawa together couldn't defeat. However, such details were irrelevant.
"I won't forgive it—"
Magic power resonated, and sparks of golden light crackled and burst.
Tsukiko had been training with Yuusuke just moments ago. No matter how many attempts, her attacks still grazed nothing. Exhausted to the limit in both magical power and physical strength, she had collapsed as if asleep.
That's when the message came.
In the true sense, unable to even stand due to fatigue, Tsukiko naturally rose and left the house with only the Golden Thunder Spear in hand.
There was no option to seek help from Yuusuke and the others.
Her magic power hadn't fully recovered. Her body felt heavy, and strength eluded her.
But her mind was clear. Against the warmth emanating from her entire body, the depths of her brain were chillingly sharp.
Continuing the cyclic breathing, she contemplated.
――Don't use unnecessary magical power.
Through training with Sharla, Yuusuke, and the magic tools given by Isumi Tengai, she had learned something.
Magic doesn't become stronger simply by infusing it with magic power.
Shalra and Yusuke both have immense magic power, but they don't use it to overpower her during training.
Not only do they have pure sword skills, but their use of magic power is also different.

The weakly emitted electromagnetic waves informed Tsukiko of all of the hitogata's movements. Just by capturing its preparatory movements, she could easily predict what kind of attack would come next.
She thought it would make more unconventional moves, but it seems that as it has taken the form of a person, it won't change much from there.
In a sweeping attack, slower compared to Sharla and Tsukiko. This is something that shouldn't hit.
However, there are still many things unknown from Hitogata. It might be hiding a trump card, not yet revealed.
So, her objective is break it and make it spit it out.
As Tsukiko dodged the attack, she simultaneously swung a spear around her arm.
Immediately after, Hitogata's massive body, as if in a lie, rotated and slammed into the ground.
Hitogata sluggishly got up and once again came charging.
Still, she throws, throws, and throws.
Creating numerous cracks in the ground, Tsukiko continued to throw Hitogata.
No matter how much physical enhancement she had, throwing Hitogata with Tsukiko's strength should be impossible.
The answer lay in the new magic she devised, called 'Bipolarity.'
It's a spell that imparts S and N poles to oneself or the target.
Using it to repel Hitogata's body and throw it off balance.
Still, no matter how many times she threw it, no matter how many repetitions, there was no change in Hitogata's actions.
Does it not have any secret moves, or is it deemed not dangerous to simply throw them?

Tsukiko, who judged it to be futile to continue, threw the Hitogata upwards instead of towards the ground.
As the Hitogata spun around and flailed its limbs, Tsukiko quietly burned magic power.
The golden lightning raced towards the tip of the spear, shining more brightly than the moon.
"Shorai (Summon Thunder)"
Though it may be out of season, this technique suits a dark night like today.
As the Hitogata descended, Tsukiko thrust her spear upwards.
"Hoshihanabi (Star Fireworks)"
The lightning burst, and hundreds of explosions overlapped and resounded.
It is a simple magic to release compressed lightning, but its power is enhanced through training.
The body of the Hitogata, pierced by the golden lightning, crumbled apart as it fell.
Tsukiko took out a needle and threw it to where the Hitogata was falling.
And then, the figure crashed to the ground. At this rate, it would still regenerate.
"Shorai"
In response to Tsukiko's words, the needle glowed with a golden light.
"Hekireki Senden"
The electric shock scattered by the star fireworks and the golden thunder released from Tsukiko's hand instantly raced towards the needle.
A light so bright that it painted the entire scenery pure white.
"Hekireki Senden" is a high-powered magic that instantly gathers all surrounding electric shocks into a single point, connecting one technique to another. It demonstrates its power by almost erasing the figure, leaving a black mass to fall to the ground.
Tsukiko cautiously watched the Hitogata, but it soon crumbled away.
It seems that there are limitations to regeneration.
Tsukiko attempted to trace the flow of magic power from the remnants of the figure, but she couldn't. Whether there is a spellcaster or not, it is completely independent.
"..."
As Tsukiko dismantled and stored the Golden Thunder Spear, she let out a small breath. With a definite sense of becoming stronger, she felt an inexplicable chill.
Tsukiko continued to watch until Hitogata completely disappeared, contemplating her growth.
