Volume 12 Chapter 9 A Certain Daily Life With Lily
Today, I came to the capital city of Uralis for some shopping.
I was getting ready for an upcoming trip and would soon be returning to my hometown.
"Oh, is that Lily?"
As I walked along the main street, I spotted someone who looked like Lily in a clothing store.
"Eek...! It's Rain-sama--!"
Lily turned around with a surprised expression on her face.
She hurriedly came out of the store.
"Oh, sorry. Were you in the middle of shopping?"
The store seemed to be a popular clothing store for young women, just like Nina and Mary had mentioned before.
"Um, is it strange for me to be in a store like this?"
Lily seemed nervous and fidgety.
It was an unusual attitude for someone who was usually composed.
"? I don't think it's strange. This seems to be a store mainly for young women, after all."
"Well, you see, I thought it might be weird for someone like me who is always involved in battles to be in a place like this..."
"It's not weird at all. Even if you're always busy with battles, it's not surprising to have other interests. I know you like swords, and it's natural to also like fashion."

It would be ridiculous to have someone ask me out in a situation and setting like this.
Actually, it's hard for me to imagine Lily and me being in a romantic relationship anyway...

"Huh?"
I tilted my head in confusion at Lily's muttered words.
What did she mean by that?
After that, I went around the shops with Lily.
"Don't you think that pendant is lovely?"
"Wow, it's so cute~!"
"Hey, hey, Rain-sama, let's go to that store next!"
Lily was really excited.
"I didn't know Lily could make that kind of face."
I murmured to myself.
"Huh?"
"Well, you usually only see the brave side of yours when you're fighting, so..."
"Eh, ah... Ehehe"
Lily blushed and smiled shyly.
"It's... weird, isn't it? Seeing me like this."
"It's not weird. It's just unusual. I think it's nice to see this side of you too."
I smiled and said,
"Hey, earlier I said the pendant was lovely. How about I give it to you as a present?"
"Huh?"
"Well, during the Light Dragon King's defeat, I was the only one who got a reward. I want to give something back to the other members at least a little bit."
"Is that so?"
"It's okay, right?"
"If it makes Rain-sama happy, then I'd be delighted."
She initially hesitated, but when I asked her again, she nodded.
