Volume 6 Chapter 19 Clay & Typhon Vs Wade Vs 'Narcissistic Bard'
Narcissistic Bard is, with an extremely loud voice, continuing like this.
"I'm used to facing monsters like you guys! Bring it on from anywhere! I'll take care of you guys with just one hand!"
If he's going to look down on me, who's still just a boy in appearance, then he should be prepared to do the same with Typhon, who's not someone to be underestimated.
I, who've risen to the height of Typhon's gaze, glance at him, and Typhon is looking at me with my own eyes.
"Hey, Typhon. Or should I say, Clay?"

I throw a question at these two.

The color of Typhon's eyes changes. From confusion to curiosity.

As he says this, Typhon raises his arm and takes off in a sprint. I chase after him, saying "Ah, that's cheating!"
'Hahahahah! Do what the enemy hates! That's what I'll do! Wade is the enemy, after all!'
"Typhon is not as intimidating as I thought. What's going on, Clay?"
"Well, we first became friends over a contest, and winning or losing is what he like."
"Is that the problem?"
As I say this, I use gravity magic to accelerate my acceleration. And then, I suddenly think, "Do what the enemy hates," and take a stance in front of Typhon.

I was about to kick Typhon's chest with Repulsion's power, accelerating even further to close in on Narcissistic Bard.
"Wade-kun, I'll remember this."
Ah, I forgot Clay was inside. It's getting a bit scary now.
And as I approached Narcissistic Bard at a speed like a small rocket, he said with an air of superiority.
"You think you can reach me with that speed? I'm loved by all the gods, after all!"
"Your confidence is impressive, but you need to prove it with results."
I unleashed a crystal sword while holding one myself, and slashed at him.
At that moment, Narcissistic Bard said.
"What a foolish thing to do. The moment I declare it, it becomes the result!"
Contact. Slash. And the crystal sword touched him―――the crystal sword shattered.
It was like a still image. Without any tension, he floated an Alkaix Smile, grasping the front of his hat, and stood upright amidst the shattered crystal fragments.
The crystal sword that should have sliced his torso in one swing had lost its meaning. The other swords I had sent flying with gravity magic were similarly shattered into powder, unable to touch Narcissistic Bards' body.
And I couldn't help but grin, my mouth curling up.
"Ooo―――! You're doing great! One of the Four Heavenly Kings, you're really tough!"
"When your full-power attack doesn't work, you celebrate, huh? You're Slow, indeed. You're a boy who can become our greatest enemy. Oh dear, it's terrifying."
But Narcissistic Bard continued.
"You're finished here. Because this Narcissistic Bard Romantini will bring you down. I'll render you powerless and make you a great stepping stone for conquering Karditsa―――"
"Ah, Typhon's caught up."
"Huh?"
Narcissistic Bard turned to look behind him. There, Typhon was already standing, his fist clenched and ready to strike. Whoa, he looks really big from down here.
However, the Narcissistic Bards confidence didn't stop.
"Hmph, what's the big deal about being a giant? I'm the man loved by the gods."
'But, I'm the one who defeated the strongest god, Zeus, the one who was feared by those gods!'
"Hmm, I see. That's―――"
The Narcissistic Bard said, still maintaining his arrogant smile.
"That's bad news."
Typhon's fist then crushed the Narcissistic Bard and the ground beneath him.
"Whoaaa!! The ground is crumbling!"
I felt like I was on a rollercoaster, jumping from the crumbling cliff and flying with gravity magic.
On the other hand, Clay and Typhon were triumphant.
"That was a fun diversion, wasn't it?" 'Hahahahaha! It seems I've won, Wade!'
"Is that so? I didn't let my guard down."
'Huh?' "What's with you?"
A figure emerged from the rising dust cloud, making a dramatic entrance as always. What's with this guy? Is it a habit?
The Narcissistic Bard appeared, brushing away the smoke with his fist and smiling with an arrogant grin.
"I see. It seems I underestimated you. My two enemies, you're quite troublesome."
However, the Narcissistic Bard continued.
"I'll make even this a victory and a source of pride! Now, gods, behold! Bring forth thunder under my glory!"
As if following the Narcissistic Bards words, dark clouds gathered, and thunder struck beneath me and Typhon.
I said "No way" and readied my crystal sword, dodging quickly in the meantime. Meanwhile, Typhon caught the thunder and said, "This is weaker than Zeus' thunderbolt."
"Amazing!" I exclaimed.
"What?" the Narcissistic Bard asked.
Typhon laughed and looked down at the Narcissistic Bard.
Clay and Typhon declared in unison.
"We'll return this thunder!" 'We'll pay you back, bard!'
Seeing this, I also slammed the lightning I had grasped into Narcissistic Bard.
The cliff where the landslide occurred began to crumble, and the lightning ran across it. I jumped to avoid it, and Narcissistic Bard quickly said, "A giant's lightning is nothing to be feared!"
As a result, everyone was safe, standing in the same spot. The surrounding area, however, was filled with numerous charred corpses that had been electrocuted and not a single blade of grass remained on the scorched earth.
That's when I realized...
...this battle is going to be tough. The aftermath alone could kill everyone. And yet, we're unscathed. We need to take down Narcissistic Bard before this entire plain is destroyed. I'm against environmental destruction.
I started thinking about what to do. I took a few steps back in mid-air, and observed the clash between Narcissistic Bard and Typhon.
'What's with that?!'
"Hmph, first, you should deal damage to me, and then you can brag all you want!"
Typhon dodged the snake-like sweep of Narcissistic Bards' foot and countered, "Behold, my divine power rivaling the gods!" as he hurled a massive boulder weighing several tons at Typhon.
The force was tremendous, enough to send Typhon flying back.
But from the point of impact, Typhon began to absorb it, only to increase in size. Typhon can't be defeated, it seems. No need to worry.
So, I thought it would be a good idea to uncover the secrets behind Narcissistic Bards' power.
Of course, humans don't possess monstrous strength. What they have is magic, or perhaps sorcery (魔).
Therefore, Narcissistic Bards' power is likely to be an unknown magic or sorcery (魔). And the highest possibility is that it's related to his words.
'Beloved by the gods,' 'Bring forth thunder under my glory,' 'Divine power rivaling the gods.'
I know enchantment magic and simple magic that only requires speaking the technique's name. But I've never encountered magic that involves chanting like this before.
Given his exceptional abilities as a general, it's likely that he possesses a unique magic. And it's probably no mistake that it's similar to chanting magic.
What caught my attention was when he said "That's bad news". Typhon started talking about how "I'm the one who defeated the strongest god, Zeus, the one who was feared by those gods."
And with that, I somehow began to understand how to get on the battlefield against the "Narcissistic Bard".
―――I see. So, that means he was pulling all his enemies onto his own turf from the very start, without teaching them the rules, and then fighting them.
"That's cheating! He needs to be punished for that!"
I grinned mischievously, spreading my arms wide. Crystal swords gathered around me, deploying in a circular formation. And then I called out.
"Narcissistic Bard! You're a fox borrowing the tiger's power. I can't help it, so I'll stand on your crappy turf and fight you!"
