Chapter 271 They Are The Same

"How does it feel to meet a living reincarnator?"

"Well... it wasn't as moving as I thought it would be."

"Isn't that harsh?"

"Maybe it's because of Sara's character. You're a stunning beauty, but there's something oddly disappointing about you."

Sara returned to the bench and picked up her cup of herbal tea.

"Yeah. I was in Odel until the country fell and became Roisen. I escaped with the last royal family and then came to Avalon."

Sara was so shocked that she dropped the cup she was holding onto the floor. Seeing this, Rihito used magic to break down the cup and herbal tea into mist.

"Are you okay? Did you get burned or anything?"

A black wolf appeared from the air and landed gracefully in front of Rihito. Now it was about the size of a full-grown Siberian Husky.

"This is surprising. It's Nox, isn't it? If you're here, does that mean Blanche is nearby? What about Charles?"

Rihito stood up from the bed and knelt in front of Noir, touching his body.

"Rihito, those 2 died ten years ago."

"Huh..."

Rihito froze, and in the next moment, tears began to fall from his eyes.

"Why? They should have been able to live as long as me because of their bond with you!"

"Charles died while carrying out a mission for the Adventurers' Guild. Blanche also died a few days later after hearing the news."

"I can understand Charles dying on a mission. But why did Blanche have to die too? I could understand it the other way around."

"Blanche was pregnant with Charles's child. She went into labor from the shock and gave birth to the prince, but then she passed away."

"No way... What happened to the prince?!"

Noir turned to look at Blaze.

"Could it be... Blaze is...?"

"That's right. He is the genuine direct royal descendant of Odel. His real name is Noir Henri Odel. Coincidentally, he gave me his name, so I'm not currently Nox, but Noir."

However, the members who didn't know the situation were shocked by this statement, except for Sara. Blaze, in particular, was frozen with wide eyes.

"Noir, I thought you were going to keep this from Rihito too..."

"That's because of those ridiculous nobles, right?!"

Sara felt a bit uneasy about Scott's words.

"Scott, what do you mean by nobles? Can you tell me what happened?"

Scott and Blaze both had a look of 'oh no' on their faces at the same time. Sara turned to Thomas, but it seemed he didn't know the situation either.

However, it was Noir who answered this question.

"Scott and Blaze were surrounded by some noble kids during the hunting competition, and they were told, 'Don't get too familiar with Lady Sara, you commoners!'"

"What?! What does that mean?"

"They knew that Sara was staying at the Jeffrey residence."

"It's because Roisen's knights went out of control!"

After hearing Noir's explanation, Thomas seemed to feel angry too.

"Milady Sara is Sir Arthur's eldest daughter. I think the fact that you're the real granddaughter of Marquis Grandchester is a big deal."

Blaze immediately jumped in.

Sara smirked.

"Aw, that's boring. I want to beat them up!"

"Milady Sara, your true feelings are slipping out."

As expected, Thomas, the tutor, scolded them. However, even during that exchange, Rihito was staring intently at Blaze.

"Blaze. You look just like your dad."

"Really?"

"Your face and eye color are like your mom's, but your personality is just like your dad's. It's funny how much you resemble Charles, even the same expressions."

"Was I born loved by my parents, I wonder?"

"I was sleeping back then. The last time I saw your parents was nearly 50 years ago, right before I fell asleep, and they weren't even dating yet."

"Eh, but Dad got Mr. Rihito to help him rescue Mom from her confinement and escape together, right?"

"That's right. Charles has loved Blanche since they were kids, and even after Blanche married into the Roisen royal family, he only thought about her."

"Was mom has different opinion?"

"No, Blanche loved Charles too."

"Then why?"

"Charles was Blanche's knight, and even when he saved her, he treated her like his lord. Blanche also had a strong sense of being a woman who had already been married..."

After hearing Rihito's explanation, Sara thought that. However, since Blaze was born, it meant their relationship must have changed a lot over ten years ago.

Then Noir shared the story of how he came to Grandchester after Blaze was born with Blaze and those around him. Meanwhile, Rihito, while sleeping, heard about what happened to his friends and their son Blaze, feeling sadness and regret.

"Got it! So I wasn't abandoned after all. I'm really glad to know that my parents loved me. Well, even if I'm called royalty, it's from a country that fell 200 years ago, so it doesn't really hit home for me. But since it seems like I have a lot of magic power because of it, I guess I should be thankful. Still, I think it's fine for me to stay a commoner."

"I can understand that. I also have a lot of magic power because I have the blood of a fallen royal family, but I still think being a commoner is better."

"We're the same, huh?"

"Yeah, that's right. So even if I become a Viscount's daughter, you'll still play with me, okay? If not, I might get sulky and go beat up those nobles who said unnecessary things to you, you know?"

Sara and Blaze started laughing together, and before they knew it, everyone around them was laughing too.
