- Kou Tenhou
The main character of the story. He lives in Aika Country, a large nation in the center of the continent.
He is a boy who was reincarnated as the great villain in the game "History of Swordmaster."
Skills he has mastered: Beast Body Guidance, Five Divine Swordsmanship, Five Divine Steps, Heaven-Earth Guidance Technique, Mirror of Shadows Reflection (one of the Four Fiends' techniques, chaos).
In the game "History of Swordmaster," he is seen as the great villain who caused chaos in the world.
In the ending, he is executed in various ways.
- Ryuu Seirei
Tenhou's adopted sister. She is the last survivor of the Ryuu Family, which was killed by a foreign tribe.
Now, she lives happily with the Kou family.
She is a friend of Yuuri, the daughter of Ryougen-kun.
Skills she has mastered: Beast Body Guidance, Heaven-Earth Guidance Technique. Additionally, she has the ability to talk to animals.
In the game "History of Swordmaster," she is the villain who led Aika Country to ruin.

- Sou Ouka (Alias: Sui Kaou)
A beautiful girl dressed as a boy.
Her true identity is the second princess of Souma Country.
She is Tenhou's senior disciple and a friend who studies martial arts with him.

She is a guest of Ryougen-kun and is considered one of the strongest martial artists.
In ten years, only Raikou is thought to be able to fight on equal terms with Zeng Taiga.
She also shines as a top-tier character in the game 'History of Swordmaster.'
- Gen Shuuyoku
The master of 'ki' for Tenhou and Ouka. She is a junior disciple of Raikou.
She was a traveling doctor but has now settled in Aika Country.
She is a master of medicine and Pressure Point Technique.
- Ai Rouen
The Crown Prince of Aika Country.
He calls Kou Kairyou, Tenhou's older brother, 'my friend.'
He is known as the 'Cursed Crown Prince' because a cursed star appeared in the sky right after he was born, and he lost his mother when he was just one year old.
While he is very capable, he has a personality that makes him feel unsatisfied unless he does everything himself.

- Ai Yuuri
The youngest daughter of Ryougen-kun.
A smart girl with her father's charm. She is good at understanding people's feelings.
She is close with Rouen.
For some reason, she feels envious of Seirei.
- Tanshi
Ryougen-kun's aide. An excellent civil servant.
He supports Tenhou in various ways.
- Kou Eishin
Tenhou's father.
An outstanding military officer. The 'General Skybear' who protects the border of Aika Country.
He looks scary but is a kind person. He takes in Seirei, who was the daughter of his best friend.
He is deeply in love with his wife, Gyokushi. He is one of the top devoted husbands in Aika Country.
- Kou Kairyou
Tenhou's older brother. Training to be the successor of 'General Skybear.'
He is serious and has been training hard so he won't fall short of his father.
He is regarded as 'my friend' by Rouen. He is also well-liked by the soldiers.
- Gyokushi
Tenhou's mother. She was weak but has now recovered.
She always watches over Tenhou and Seirei with kindness.
- Hakuyou
A servant of the Kou family. Tenhou's childhood friend.
- Chou Sekimei
The 'General of the Devoted Cavalry' who protects Aika Country. He is equal in rank to Kou Eishin.
He is Rouen's late mother's younger brother, making him Rouen's uncle.
- Chou Shoukatsu
Chou Sekimei's son. One of the military officers.

Chou Sekimei's youngest son. A calm person.
Kei Koshou has his sister as his wife.

A military officer from Aika Country. Skilled in defense.
- Haku Kan
A civil officer from Aika Country. A subordinate of the Chou Family.

- Souma Country King
Ouka's father. A dignified king.
Values the friendly relationship with Aika Country.
- Sou Shisui
Ouka's half-sister. The first princess of Souma Country.
An adult woman with a charming aura. Passionate about pursuing beauty.
Curious and interested in many things. Loves fun activities.
Cares deeply for her sister Ouka.
○People of the Jinkyo Tribe
- Zeng Taiga
A prince of the Jinkyo Tribe. Known as the strongest war god.
Infiltrated Aika Country with a small group and easily defeated Rouen and Kairyou.
Literally has the power of a One Man Army.
Defeated by Tenhou, his body is handed over to the Jinkyo Tribe.
In the game 'History of Swordmaster,' he leads an army to attack Aika Country.
He is the strongest character in the story, capable of defeating heroes.
- Tougen Shimei
The leader of the Shimei clan, one of the clans of the Jinkyo Tribe.
Has a strong desire for knowledge and loves to observe terrain and plants.
Has a wandering habit and meets Tenhou while wandering around.
Meeting Tenhou helped him control his wandering habit, and he became an important figure in the Jinkyo Tribe's moderate faction.

He defeats the military commander of the Jinkyo Tribe in a one-on-one battle.
He is currently a guest general in Aika Country.
In the game "History of Swordmaster," he appears as the military commander of the Jinkyo Tribe.
With high strength and intelligence stats, he is quite formidable.
- Nona Kiryuu
She is the daughter of Gaku Kiryuu.
She was captured by the Jinkyo Tribe but was rescued by Tenhou and Ouka.

- Kaine Shurt
She is the daughter of the chief of the Bokou Tribe.

- Kai Shuujaku
He is the father of Kai Yougetsu, the main character of the game "History of Swordmaster."
He attacks the Bokou Tribe to steal the "Konton secret scroll."
He has also mastered the "Konton technique - Kyuuki."
After being defeated by Tenhou and Ouka, he is sent to Aika Country but takes advantage of a moment to commit suicide.
- Ko Eison
He is a dual-wielding fighter from the Golden Feather Syndicate.
He infiltrates the Jinkyo Tribe and becomes a close aide to Zeng Taiga but escapes when he learns of Taiga's defeat.
In the game, he is a reliable older brother figure to the main character.
- Enki
He is a dagger user who infiltrated Aika Country.
He specializes in Dash, a jumping technique that uses 'ki' energy to enhance his agility.
- Zan Teiei
Assassin. A master of throwing knives.
Skilled at attacking while hiding their presence.
- Yagaru
A poison arrow user from the west.
Uses a poison called 'martial artist killer' that hides in the opponent's energy channels.
So skilled that they can injure Raikou.
○Other People
- Gyoun
The master of Raikou and Gen Shuuyoku.
A user of 'Five Divine Steps' and 'Five Divine Swordsmanship.'
Once fought with a fellow disciple and left them unable to recover.
Because of this, he gave up martial arts and learned medicine.
After teaching Gen Shuuyoku at Tekizan, he entered the mountains to become a hermit.
He has been missing ever since.
- Suimei Shin-kun
A hermit. The guardian deity of the Bokou Tribe.
Said to be the person who created the 'Four Fiends Technique: chaos.' Details are unknown.

The son of Kai Shuujaku.
The main character of the game 'History of Swordmaster.'
