Volume 1 Chapter 84 Star Reader Priest

Volume 1 Chapter 84 Star Reader Priest

As I gulped down the tempura mushrooms, Eir-Eir blinked in confusion at Mx. Margaret's question.

I had told Mx. Margaret and Mr. Tsukuyomi that she used to be in the old Kirschtein territory.

When I returned to Lobelia with Sir Ciel and the others, Mx. Margaret hugged me tightly and said, "Welcome back, Lyd-Lyd! I'm so glad...!" while crying tears of joy.

They mentioned that they had something to tell me, but it felt so hectic that we haven't had the chance to talk yet.

People from Kirschtein thanked me, Mr. Wilshark praised me as a saint, and the Moon Soul Cult called me a savior.

Being in the old Kirschtein territory made me feel like I wasn't myself, and I felt restless. Coming back here to Lobelia Diner House finally made me feel like I was back to my usual routine.

And today, we could finally gather together and relax.

 "Pumpkin pudding..."

She swallowed the tempura mushrooms and made a sound.

It was more like a chirp than a voice.

Anyway, right now, she could only talk about pumpkin pudding, like a little bird.

"Um, Mx. Margaret. In Eir-Eir's memory, there were 4 people. In front of a woman trapped in a scary, red place, there were 4 of them."

 I recalled Eir-Eir's memory.

I couldn't see the other girls clearly, but I think there were 4 of them lined up.

I was telling Sir Ciel and the others what I had seen.

Memories fade away, and I might forget, so I wanted to share it.

Sir Ciel and the others listened to me eagerly. Especially when it came to the memory of the witch Sylphina, Sir Ciel and Mr. Lucian discussed the legends they knew.

In Bernard Kingdom, it is said that God Ancestor Theobart and Goddess Alexandria were a couple, and that Sylphina had a crush on Theobart.

People from Kirschtein believe that God Ancestor Theobart and Sylphina were married, but he changed his mind and was persecuted by Goddess Alexandria, leading Sylphina and her followers to be pushed into a small land.

I don't know which story is true, but if what I saw is real, then Sir Ciel concluded that the myth believed by the Kirschtein people might be the correct one.

"Four... one of the 4 is Eiris. So, there are 3 others."

"That seems to be the case. Saintwise has been searching for the red Curse of the Moon, which suddenly makes people violent. It is likely that Judal, who can use Eiris's power, caused this to train that power."

Sir Ciel thought for a moment and then continued.

"Mx. Margaret. It's about time we heard your story. Can we listen to what you have to tell Ms. Lydia? We want to protect Ms. Lydia."

"Lydia's problem is also my problem."

"I wonder what I should protect the princess from."

"...I dedicate my sword to Lydia. I wouldn't hesitate to give my life for her."

 "Mr. Lucian, that's heavy..."

Talking about giving up life is troubling.

"I guess that was too much. I wanted to say I have that kind of resolve. I don't plan to die, but if I did, would Lydia be sad?"

"That would be sad, but please don't say things like that..."

 Mr. Lucian feels heavy.

I thought he was lighthearted, but he seems really serious.

I appreciate his feelings to protect me, but I wish he wouldn't talk about dying or not dying.

When I glared at Mr. Lucian with teary eyes, he looked a bit happy, just like Sir Roxas, with a twinkle in his eyes.

Maybe he has a hobby of being happy when women glare at him.

"Yes. I need you all to hear this. I've been waiting. Waiting for someone who will protect Lyd-Lyd and cherish her."

A sparkling card appeared in front of Mx. Margaret.

Without anyone touching it, cards of tarot, the chariot, the moon, and the death card floated in the air.

They spun around in front of Sir Ciel, Mr. Lucian, Sir Roxas, and Sir Rail before disappearing.

Mr. Tsukuyomi said, "Am I being left out, Margaret?" and shrugged, "Well, I'm not as young as you guys."

"I lived as a star-reading priest at the Great Temple nearly 20 years ago... Originally, I was an orphan. I lived in an orphanage and was a child who often had strange dreams. When I told the orphanage teacher about my strange dreams, they came true. The teacher said it was a miracle and took me to the Great Temple for a magic power diagnosis."

The cards that had been shining in front of Mx. Margaret disappeared, leaving behind stardust-like particles.

In the quiet shop, only Mx. Margaret's smooth voice echoed.

"I have the power to see fragments of the future. After I realized that, I took on the role of seeing the future deep within the Great Temple. Back then, I was still small and never thought about how what I saw would affect anyone."

Mx. Margaret lightly shook their head and let out a deep breath.

"A child with Sylphina's power will be born in Kirschtein. I also prophesied that it would bring about the world's destruction. My actions caused the downfall of Lucian's homeland."

"It's not Margaret's fault. That prophecy is real. If King Zeere hadn't attacked Kirschtein, the world might have really ended."

"...Thank you, Lucian. But you know, prophecies usually don't change. What I saw is that even if someone tries to change the future, it ends up happening in a different way. The witch's child from Kirschtein might be gone, but instead, Eiris and the witch's daughter have appeared."

"But, but, Mx. Margaret, Eir-Eir is already a good girl..."

"That's right. So, I'm counting on you. I believe that Lyd-Lyd and all of you who protect Lyd-Lyd can change the future..."

I said while stroking Eir-Eir's soft body.

After eating a lot, Eir-Eir seemed full and curled up on the table, starting to sleep soundly.

She looked even cuter, like a round rice cake.

Mx. Margaret looked around at our faces and said it as if she was praying.
