Volume 10 Chapter 51 Dad And Sylsyl

Volume 10 Chapter 51 Dad And Sylsyl

The town of the Holy Capital was in a devastating state, except for the Temple and the castle, which were protected by the barriers set up by the Saintwise folks during the battle with the monsters.

But thanks to the rain of sweets I scattered, the buildings, the injured people, and the magic of the Saintwise mages were all restored, and everything was back to normal, as Sir Rail and Sir Roxas told me.

"Princess, you did a great job. Your Majesty, Lucian, and Ciel too! When those beams of light shot down from the red moon, I thought it was all over. Ciel really held on well. I thought we were done for when the red moon broke and started to fall."

"That's not true, brother. You kept saying it would be okay to encourage everyone."

"Hehe, was that so? Then maybe I was scared deep down. I'm a bit of a coward, you know."

Sir Roxas shrugged as if to say "what a pain," while Sir Rail tilted his head in confusion.

"I'm just glad everyone is safe. Mr. Lucian, Nel-Nel, and Med took on the monsters, and Sir Ciel cleared the way, and then Dad... Dad?"

 I realized──now that I think about it, I hadn't seen Dad anywhere.

Dad, who had taken on a human form, opened the door to the red moon.

At times like this, Dad would usually chime in with something like, "Look at me, I did my best too!" But he was nowhere to be found.

Not a single trace of him.

 "Dad..."

I hugged Eir-Eir and the others tightly in my arms.

They all looked at each other with worried expressions.

Plus, since I squeezed them, they looked a bit squished and cramped.

They were all soft and pudgy.

But this wasn't the time to be enjoying their softness.

Where could Dad have gone? He was so lively, flying around with grilled chicken.

"Dad's role entrusted by Alexandria is to save Sylphina. If that's the case, then it means the mission is already over... But I can't imagine just disappearing without even saying goodbye to Ms. Lydia."

Sir Ciel, who is holding me, looks down at me with a worried expression.

Come to think of it, I've been held by Sir Ciel this whole time.

It's so natural for me to be carried like this that I've just accepted it without a second thought.

But it must be heavy, right?.

Sir Ciel, even though he's tired from a lack of magic, is carrying me──.

"Sir Ciel, I, I'm heavy, so I can walk by myself, so it's okay if you put me down...!"

 "That's not allowed."

 "Not allowed?"

"How should I put it... Well, it's first come, first served."

 "First come, first served?"

"──Speaking of which, Ciel. I'm (Lucian) feeling more energetic. Let's switch."

"Ah! That's unfair! I want to hold the princess too!"

"I'm, I'm (Roxas) also feeling fine...! Really fine!"

"Everyone, calm down. How about we take turns holding Lydia equally, one at a time?"

Sir Stefan tries to calm down Mr. Lucian and the others, who are starting to argue.

Father is angrily asking, as usual, "What kind of relationship do you all have with Lyd-Lyd...! One by one, tell me how far you've gone with Lyd-Lyd and what you've done!" while being soothed by Mother with a "Now, now".

"Hehe, it feels nice to be back to our usual routine! Here, I'll do a fortune-telling, who isn't much help in battles but is quite accurate."

 "Mx. Margaret?"

"That's right, Lyd-Lyd. I'll help you find where your dog father is."

Mx. Margaret's hands shine, and tarot cards appear.

One card sparkles and floats up, spinning in front of us.

It was a card of a woman wearing an apron, happily walking with just one bag.

 "This is Lyd-Lyd."

 "Is this me?"

"Yeah. The Fool's card. Nothing in hand, the Traveler's card. The fact that Lyd-Lyd showed up while searching for Dad means that Dad is──."

"""""The diner of the Villainous Lady (Lobelia)!"""""

The voices of everyone gathered overlap.

 I nodded vigorously.

 "Let's send her to Lobelia."

"For our fairy, the healing Saint, Ms. Lydia!"

"Sir Ciel, please take care of Ms. Lydia!"

Led by Mr. Leavis, the folks from Saintwise began chanting as a group.

A glowing magic circle appeared at our feet.

Waving goodbye to my dad, who said he would come see me soon, my mom who waved back, Mx. Margaret saying, "See you later," Mr. Tsukuyomi saying, "I'm off to drink," and FraFra saying, "Elder Sister, I love you!" we headed towards Lobelia.

In an instant, the scenery changed, and we arrived in front of Lobelia.

 Sir Ciel set me down.

My body was tired, but maybe because I could rest a bit, I had recovered enough to stand and walk.

Eir-Eir perched on my head, and Ms. Famine wrapped around my neck.

Mr. Lucian lifted Nel-Nel, and Sir Rail held Med.

Mer-Mer jumped onto Sir Ciel's shoulder.

I placed my hand on the door of Lobelia.

Just like always, the door to Lobelia.

The alleyway and the lined-up houses were unchanged.

As if──the events under the red moon were just a dream.

But in the sky, there was no longer a red moon.

Only the white moon floated quietly.

With a pat, I opened the door.

 "Dad...!"

There sat my puppy dad, perched cutely on the restaurant floor.

And──next to Dad was a large cradle.

 Inside the cradle──.

 "SylSyl...!?"

 We peered into the cradle.

There, a lovely baby with golden hair and white skin was sleeping.
