"Zeke, you're fired"
"Huh...? "
After returning to the royal castle and taking a bath.
I was summoned by the king and came to the royal chamber.
"Um... why is that?"
I asked, bewildered, to the king sitting on the throne.
"I received a report from the prime minister. Apparently, you're responsible for a huge unnecessary expense."
With a smirk, a slender man standing next to the king said.
"That is indeed correct, Your Majesty. In this age of mass consumption and mass production, there's no longer a need for something like a beast veterinarian."
"Indeed, that's right. There's no need to provide a doctor for mere cattle. If they die, we just need to breed them again."
What a terrible way to say it.
It seems they regard animals as nothing more than [moving things].
"If you're gone, we won't need to pay high salaries, and we can cut the unnecessary rearing management costs. With the money saved, we can keep more beasts, so we won't need a doctor."
The prime minister said with an evil grin.
"Zeke, do you have any objections?"
"...Well, just one thing. Are you really sure about this? It's going to be a big problem for this country."
"What...?"
They looked at me like they didn't understand what I was saying.
"There are 2 reasons. First, the health of animals is very delicate. One wrong move could lead to an epidemic and wipe out all the livestock."
If the livestock die out, the food situation in this country will become dire.
"Two. Dragons and familiars are magic beasts. If they are not managed by a professional, they will go on a rampage and harm people."
magic beasts are under the control of the Demon Lord, and so they attack humans indiscriminately.
But beast veterinarians have learned special techniques to control the magic beasts.
On the other hand, if the beast veterinarian is gone, the magic beasts will stop listening to people.
"Zeke, you may not know this, but recently a magic tool called [Training Tool] has been developed."
"Training...Tool...?"
"It's a mysterious item that allows you to instantly tame magic beasts just by wearing it!"
Ugh, these guys are so suspicious...
"In other words, you're saying you want to force them to obey using magic, right? If you use such items that trample on their feelings and dignity, the magic beasts will feel even more stress and eventually revolt, don't you think?"

It seems they think only humans have a heart.
"Zeke, you're fired. Moreover, you have committed a serious crime by continuously lying that only beast veterinarians can manage magic beasts."
"No, that's not a lie..."

"However, considering your past achievements serving the country, I will allow you to leave with banishment. Pack your things and get out quickly."
