Volume 2 Chapter 39 Deserted Dungeon Raid Squad (I)

""""What's up, everyone! Welcome to the 'Deserted Dungeon Tsukkomi Squad' channel!!""""

 ───────────────

 : Let's gooo!

 : HYPE!

 : Peace peace, baby!

: I said that looking real cool.

 : Yotsugiiii wooooo!

 : This is a MUST-WATCH stream!

 : Been waiting all week!

: Literally camping in front of my screen for this.

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ───────────────

The second the stream went live, chat exploded. The comments were flying so fast it was basically digital confetti.

 ───────────────

"Heh... right outta the gate, chat's moving at light speed. Appreciate the hype, everyone!"

"Obviously! I mean, today's stream is all about that dungeon!"

 "YES-SUSHI!"

 "YES-SUSHI!"

 ───────────────

 : Yurihime, so adorable.

 : Tomochi, so precious.

 : Rinna-chan, ultimate cuteness.

 : Rinne-chan, also ultimate cuteness.

: This stream is now a math lesson.

: Yurihime + Tomochi (Rinna × Rinne) = everyone wins.

 : Q.E.D. That's science.

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ───────────────

First to greet the chat was Yurihime—AKA Oikawa Yurie—a textbook example of "tall, elegant beauty."

Next up, Tomochi—AKA Harada Tomomi—the team's official chaos generator.

Then, the Atago Sisters, Rinna and Rinne, chimed in with their classic synchronized catchphrase: "YES-SUSHI!"

(A rare breed of twin Seekers, for those keeping track at home.)

Fun fact: Despite looking like the youngest members at barely 150 cm tall, they're actually the eldest.

... Meaning Yurihime and Tomochi have to be polite to them.

The chat calls this bizarre power dynamic a "glitch in the matrix."

And finally, the last member of the squad...

 ───────────────

"Can you people focus for like, two seconds?! This dungeon is lethal! I'd like to NOT die today!"

 ───────────────

Meet Ochi Daisuke. The one guy in this madhouse of a squad.

 Nicknamed by fans:

 - "Tsukkomi Squad's Only Common Sense Person"

 - "Tsukkomi Squad's Legislative Branch"

 - "Permanent Tsukkomi Punchline Guy"

Looks scary. Talks rough. Secretly a responsible adult.

Despite being the lone guy in a team of girls, there's no weird drama. The fans know he's just the team's overworked babysitter.

 Anyway, back to the action—

 ───────────────

Welcome to the 'Deserted Dungeon Tsukkomi Squad channel'!

This elite five-person squad is dedicated to raiding deserted dungeons—the abandoned, cursed, and generally nope locations other Seekers refuse to touch.

And despite their ridiculous antics, they're seriously good at what they do.

Their clan ranks high in the B-Class leaderboard.

 ───────────────

 And today's challenge?

"You guys, listen up! We're heading into Ryukyu Dungeon—famous for having the highest encounter rate of Talking Monsters!"

This dungeon is so cursed that even other Seekers avoid it.

 Not because it's deadly.

But because the monsters trash talk you.

Two hours before our heroes arrived, another unlucky squad had already entered...

* * *

"Okay, but like... where is the 'Talking Monster'?"

Yurihime sighs dramatically while slicing through a monster with her Naginata Blade™.

"Hmph. Doesn't matter. Stay alert," Ochi grumbles, watching her casually demolish enemies.

Currently, they're on Floor 28. Meaning—

"The next fight is the Mid-Tier Floor Boss. No slacking, people!"

 "Eh, should be easy, right?"

"Yeah, mid-tier bosses aren't that tough."

 "Shouldn't be a problem."

 "Shouldn't."

 "Shouldn't?"

"...I hate when we do this."

In a normal dungeon, they'd be right.

But unfortunately for them, the Floor 29 Boss was, indeed...

 a Talking Monster.
