Volume 6 Chapter 70 Bonus

 "Yawn~... I'm so tired."

Randy rubbed his face hard with his right hand as he pushed open the door of the student dorm.

Not hiding his drowsiness, Randy let out a strange sound, "Ugh," as the spring sunlight hit him.

Harrison, who was behind him, sighed at Randy's typical behavior.

"Come on... You're a Victor, can you act a bit more like a gentleman?"

"It's fine, right? Look at that."

Randy turned around and pointed with his chin at a boy who was also coming out of the dorm.

 "Hey, hurry up, Wayne!"

"Wait! How do you even tie a tie?"

Two boys passed by Randy and the others, laughing.

With a smile, Randy looked at Harrison and said, "See?"

 "That's pretty normal."

"That kid is just a commoner, right?"

Harrison sighed and said with a glare, "But he's still a noble, you know?"

"Just a noble? Then you should call him 'young master' too."

Randy laughed with a mischievous grin, and Harrison looked at him in disbelief, saying, "What's that supposed to mean?"

 "That one──"

Randy pointed again with his chin at another boy coming out of the dorm.

The boy's excited servant said, "Young master, it's finally happening," and nodded nervously.

"If you're my servant, then call me 'young master' too."

Randy let out a strange laugh, "Hehehe," and Harrison sighed again.

"But you know, I'm only your servant until today."

 "Huh? Why is that?"

Harrison replied with another sigh, saying it was obvious since he had work for the Knight Brigade.

"The lord told me to make sure you attend the entrance ceremony properly."

Randy turned away from Harrison, who stuck out his tongue, finding it not funny.

 ...That's right.

Today is the day Randy enters the academy in the kingdom.

To prepare for this day, they left Victor and finally arrived 2 days ago.

They rushed to finish the dorm check-in, and now here they are on this day...

"What's the point of going to the academy now?"

Randy pouted, unable to hide his complaints.

"It's typical for someone your age to be the heir, isn't it?"

Randy pouted again at Harrison, who was staring with his tired eyes, saying, "That's why you should stop."

With his large body and fiery red hair, he was already standing out too much.

If he drew any more attention, it would be a big problem if he got into weird trouble.

"I guess I'll just pass the 3 years aimlessly..."

Just as Randy sighed in resignation, he finally saw the academy's front yard.

He wanted to head straight to the grand hall from the dorm, but they had to go through the reception in the front yard first.

 But...

 "Ugh. It's super crowded!"

What Randy saw was the bustling front yard.

The spacious yard was big enough for soccer or baseball, and normally he would think, "It's unnecessarily huge," but today, it was packed with carriages and people.

"I told you we should leave earlier!"

Randy complained to Harrison, who sighed in annoyance.

"You always look like you're too eager," Randy added, pouting again.

"Stop saying foolish things, and let's hurry up with the check-in already."

Randy pointed at the end of the line, saying, "That's your job as a servant."

Indeed, just as Randy said, most people in line were servants or maids.

Of course, there were some who were standing in line themselves, but most of them were commoners.

"You're the one for this kind of thing."

"What are you talking about? Today is my last day here! From tomorrow on, I have to take care of everything myself, so you need to do at least this much."

Harrison grinned, and Randy frowned, thinking that since Harrison wouldn't be there tomorrow, he should at least do the servant's duties today.

While the two of them were arguing about "You go," a carriage appeared at the main gate.

The black carriage, clearly belonging to a high-ranking noble, caused a stir in the crowd with whispers of "It's Braubelg!" beginning to rise.

Unaware of such things, the two continue to argue by the side of the front yard.

A little distance away from them, a carriage stopped.

The commotion coming from the other side of the two was probably because someone had gotten out of the carriage.

The voices heard from everywhere, saying things like "beautiful" and "pretty," did not reach Randy and the others who were arguing.

 Only...

"Miss, I will go to the reception."

"Rita, no. I will go myself."

 "But..."

"It's fine. I have to do things myself. As a Braubelg, I want to be a person I won't be ashamed of."

The noble conversation from beyond the carriage only reached the ears of the two.

"...Is that so? What do you think as Victor?"

 "...Shut up."

Thanks to the conversation between the unknown young lady and her maid──though she was really a maid──the two finally put an end to their pointless argument.

Reluctantly lining up at the reception, Randy was greeted by a bald, muscular instructor who smiled wide and said, "Congratulations on entering!"

Surprised by the unexpected figure at the reception, Randy watched as the instructor skillfully pinned a flower for new students onto his chest with those thick fingers.

"Impressive. You are a noble, yet you stand in line yourself."

Randy couldn't say it was because he was inspired by a stranger.

 "...Uh."

Randy merely responded with a slight expression of thanks.

He still couldn't quite grasp how to behave like a gentleman.

Perhaps thinking he was nervous, the instructor patted him on the shoulder and smiled, saying, "Don't be so nervous."

"The large auditorium is straight down this road."

The instructor pointed to a long road lined with cherry blossom trees.

New students like Randy walked down that path...

Squinting at a scene reminiscent of his past life, Randy murmured, "I guess I have to," and began to walk down the tree-lined path.

Though he didn't want to be in school, now that he was here, he decided to spend the next 3 years in a relaxed and easygoing way.

Behind Randy, a strangely irritating voice echoed, saying, "Thank you!"

"I'm really happy to be able to enter this school!"

(What is with this ridiculous tone? I really want to punch them...)

Randy felt a little curious, but he thought it was best not to get involved, so he started walking while looking straight ahead.

 Randolph Victor.

In the spring of his 15-year-old life, the fate of young people would intertwine a little later──
