"Elder brother Ben, welcome home!"
Michio smiled real big when his big bro Benjamin came back.
"Hey, Alice and Cain, you've grown up too, huh?"
Benjamin looked at Alice and Cain, who came to meet him, smiling.
"Young master Benjamin, Sir Luke and Lady Lydia are waiting in the guest room. Please change your clothes in your room first."
Randolph said as he greeted Benjamin.
"Oh, thanks, Randolph. But you still can't stop calling me 'young master', huh?"
"Yes, until you become an adult, it's 'young master'."
"Here, the usual 'magic stones'. I had a lot of time, so I got ten of them."
"Thank you, always."
Randolph took a slightly big leather bag from Benjamin.
'What was that? He said "magic stones", right? I'll ask later.'
Michio thought after hearing Benjamin and Randolph talking.
"Now, young lady Alice and young master Cain, let's go to the guest room first."
Randolph told them, so the two went to the guest room.
* * *
"Knock knock" The guest room door was knocked.
"Sir, young master Benjamin has arrived."
"Good, let him in."
Luke answered.
The door opened, and Benjamin came in after changing from his travel clothes.
"Father, Mother, it's been a while. I'm back now."
"Yeah, Benjamin, you're back. I'm glad you look well."
"Welcome back, Benjamin. Did you have a safe trip? Your hair's gotten a little long, we'll cut it later."
Luke and Lydia said nice things to their son, who came home after a long time.
"Let's have some tea and tell me what's been happening."
Lydia told Benjamin to sit on the sofa.
When Benjamin sat down, the maid served tea and sweets.
The family time started.
Luke talked about things in the territory, and Benjamin talked about the magic academy.
Benjamin became a "Mentor" when he was 14.
"Father, about what you wrote in the letter, tell me more about it."
After they finished talking, Benjamin started to speak.
"Right, it all started with Cain's 'Ceremony of Baptism'. Cain was 5 years old, and the bishop was visiting the town, so he went to get baptized. That's normal, but the [Skill] he got was really weird."
"That's the [Magic circle magic] you wrote about, right?"
"Yep. And Cain has [Earth magic] and [Healing magic] too. I thought Benjamin could teach him 'Mana Control'. Did you find out anything about [Magic circle magic]?"
"Yes, I checked the big library at the magic school. It has the biggest collection in the kingdom, but I only found one book about [Magic circle magic]. It didn't say much. The book said that [Magic circle magic] turns magic into magic circles, so you can make magic scrolls. It's like a super advanced version of the [Magic Inscription] skill for making magic items. It seems like someone had it back in the Hero's time."
Benjamin looked at Cain while he explained.
'Hmm, [Magic circle magic] is a super rare skill, huh.'
Michio listened to Benjamin like it wasn't a big deal.
"I see, so there weren't any books on how to use it. Good work, Benjamin. Knowing it lets you make magic items is good enough."
Luke looked a little disappointed as he kept talking.
"More importantly, I want Cain to learn 'Mana Control' while Benjamin is here. He hurt himself using 'magic' the other day."
"Okay. We'll start tomorrow."
Benjamin smiled at Cain.
