Volume 5 Chapter 7 The Hero Party, To the Demon King's Castle
The Hero Party, led by the Villainous Guildmaster Act, set off from the human kingdom of Gaetaniga.
After traveling for a while, they arrived in the Demon King's domain... Keralvonestia.
The human territories and the Demon King's land are right next to each other.
Beyond the Great Forest lies a wilderness ruled by demons.
At the very end of this wilderness stands the Demon King's castle.
But this castle was protected by a dimensional barrier.
The Demon King's underlings, the Four Heavenly Kings, each guarded the barrier's generator.
However, Lawrence and his crew defeated the Four Heavenly Kings.
The wall of dimensions that guarded the castle was destroyed.
And now... their goal, to infiltrate the Demon King's castle, had become possible.
"YES! We're HERE!"
Lawrence, a large man with a greatsword on his back, flashed a comforting smile with his white teeth.
He was one of the rough gems polished by Act.
"Phew, that was EASIER than I thought. Can't believe we made it here without a FIGHT."
Lawrence's party's sub-leader, the silver-haired youth Ulgar, said with a cool tone.
"I must say, it was ODD how few enemies attacked us," added Higami, a hero from the Far East and leader of another Hero Party.
Lawrence's Hero Party and Higami's Hero Party.
The two parties joined forces to take on this battle.
"A TRAP, perhaps?"
Suggested the magician Eli, gripping her staff tightly with a tense expression.
"It must be a TRAP,"
Agreed the healer Luna, while the archer Mida nodded in agreement.
The other Eastern Heroes agreed as well.
"Are you guys OKAY...?"
Vivre, the former demon girl who had brought them this far, standing behind Lawrence and the others, asked.
Once, it was a final weapon made for the Great Hero (Lawrence), but now it has switched sides and is one of them.
"Well, it's probably FINE."
Higami says this without a care.
"We got MONSTERS, and SUPER monsters, plus ULTRA monsters on our side!"
"Who...?"
"I'm talking about YOU guys!"
Obviously, the ultra monster is Act.
"Heh... Well, the fact that the Guildmaster sent us out without a WORD means those GOLDEN eyes must see VICTORY ahead."
Act has magic eyes that can see the future.
His silence is the biggest compliment.
It means he trusts in their power.
"Hmm... Now, listen up EVERYONE! Let's talk about what's coming NEXT!"
Lawrence turns to the Hero Party and says,
"We're heading to the Demon King's CASTLE! We'll DEFEAT the Demon King and bring PEACE to the world! This is the FINAL battle!"
A lot has happened until now.
Everyone here has faced defeat at least once.
But every time, they've been saved by Act.
Because he believed in their raw talents and polished them carefully...
They now shine at their best.
"Let's WIN! For the WORLD, for the PEOPLE... but most of all, for our GUILDMASTER who raised us and never ABANDONED us!"
Gritting his teeth, Lawrence tightens his fists.
"Let's give the greatest GIFT of all, PEACE!"
"YEAH...!"
Their resolve was unshakable.
No matter what awaited them ahead, be it traps or the formidable Demon King.
Lawrence and the others would not stop.
Because victory was assured.
Act Age, the one they had faith in... was watching over them.
With bold determination, they moved forward.
Then... a black mist arose in front of the Demon King's castle.
"HIII! ENEMIES! And... WHOA! There's a CRAZY number!"
The monsters formed from the black mist were there in such overwhelming amounts, they obscured their vision.
"One of them has POWER close to the Four Heavenly KINGS."
Eli, who can sense magic, explains.
"Wha-wha-wha-wha!? They're at the Four Heavenly KINGS level, that BLACK creature!?"
But Lawrence and the others don't even flinch.
"I'm going IN!"
"Don't be STUPID."
Higami draws her sword and pushes Lawrence away.
"This is OUR turn, RIGHT?"
Higami says to Lawrence, cutting him off mid-sentence.
"We're the second STRING when it comes to dealing with small FRIES."
...If it were the old Higami, she wouldn't say such things.
Higami wanted nothing more than to stand out.
But now, she's clearly said it.
"The main ACTORS should conserve their STRENGTH."
"Um! Leave it to US!"
"Wha!? Is that OKAY!?"
Vivre shakes Lawrence's shoulder.
"Mm! What's UP?"
"But they're an ARMY of monsters at the Four Heavenly KINGS level! I know Ms. Higami and the others are STRONG... but still, that's a lot of WEIGHT..."
But...
Higami raises her sword to the sky and slashes down.
In that moment... intense flames rise up.
The flames take the shape of a phoenix and swallow the black monsters... turning them into a sea of fire in an instant.
"Wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha!? She's gotten so much BETTER, AAAAAAAH!?"
"Of course NOT!"
Higami lets out a little laugh.
"Act has been TRAINING us. Being able to do this is only NATURAL, right?"
Yeah, that's right, Lawrence and the others nod without a trace of tension.
"Alright, let's go Eastern HEROES (you all)! Make sure you bring the main ACTORS to the stage in TOP condition!"
Higami takes the lead against the small fries.
She's not even thinking about standing out anymore.
All she's thinking about is repaying Act's kindness.
Win, and repay the favor.
Higami masterfully manipulates the fierce flames, piercing through the enemy ranks.
Her companions are also each wielding incredible natural powers, scattering the enemies before them.
