Volume 2 Chapter 34 Wanted 'Horace Unlimited Rewards'
"It's a disaster──absolutely chaos!"
"We're in big trouble!"
"..."
A week had passed since the chaos broke out.
Horace was taking a break from embedding the gemstone he snatched from Pastor into his armor.
The ones who entered through the door were 2 tiny girls.
"Master, something terrible has happened──!"
The girl with the sleepy, laid-back tone has short blue hair──like a magician's apprentice.
She's about 15.
Her height fits her age, but her figure's pretty flat.
She's wearing a mage robe over a sleeveless shirt and hot pants, looking totally casual.
She's clutching a book with her left hand──probably her magic booster.
Her grin is cheerful, her eyes narrow ── she's kinda hard to read, like she's always scheming.
"I got chased all over the place! Ugh, this is so frustrating!"
The other girl, with long, lively green hair, is bursting with energy.
She wears a green coat over a shirt and a mini skirt.
When standing next to the quieter, more understated blue-haired girl, her bust is impressive, and her thighs are thick and plump.
They're the same age, but somehow, they grew up so differently.
It's confusing as hell.
"...Ulrika. Cindy──you're not making this sound very serious."
"Why?!"
"That's what I get all the time, though."
Ulrika, the slender girl with short blue hair, speaks in her typical calm manner.
Cindy, with her long green hair and wild energy, is bouncing around.
Something happened, no doubt about it──yet when they talk about it, the tension just isn't there.
By the way, having these two around instantly makes some idiot come alive with energy.
"Cindy, let's put that aside for now."
"Ellie. Why?"
"Just sit over on that sofa, okay?"
"Huh? Okay!"
Cindy plopped down on a nearby sofa.
Meanwhile, Ellie pressed her face into her thick, fit thighs wrapped in her mini skirt.
"*Huff* *Huff*──*sigh*...*sigh*..."
Gross.
"Oh, don't mind me──just talk as usual."
For a moment, her face was completely blank, showing no emotion.
In the lobby, Horace, Ellie, Ulrika, and Cindy were gathered, along with Rangella, who sat sipping her tea with a resigned look, like she'd given up on everything.
It seemed even heroes struggled to handle perverts ── it's not an easy job.
"Later, Ellie's going to do a waterfall prayer, yep. And Master... things are already getting pretty rough."
"That was the plan from the start, huh? So, what's the scoop?"
"This is what's spreading around among the Theocracy Nation."
Ulrika pulled out a sheet of paper from her bag.
Horace took it, letting out a tired, exasperated sigh.
It was a wanted poster ── with his face stamped large, his name scrawled underneath.
And at the very bottom ──
'Unlimited Rewards'
Normally, that spot would list the bounty, but instead, it read like this.
"...What do you think this even means?"
"Basically, it's 'We'll pay anything ── just bring him to us,' I guess."
"Exactly. You said this is going around in the Theocracy Nation, right?"
"Yep. Ulrika and Cindy were moving around the Theocracy Nation doing their thing. But as soon as this poster appeared, people started hunting for them ── they had to run here for safety."
Horace listened, flipping through a recent newspaper as he processed it all.
"...Haa... Theocracy Nation, huh. I always knew they'd turn against me someday. Still, I didn't expect them to pull a move like this ── do they really think I'm that unforgivable?"
"And the bounty's listed at the 'Shinathica Great Church,' too. Master, what did you do?"
"I didn't do anything wrong. Not by my standards, not by theirs. But there's one thing I just can't forgive."
Sitting the wanted poster back on the table, Horace let out another sigh.
"Blood, Adventurers... and now, the Theocracy Nation. The world just keeps getting quieter ── hardly any peace at all."
