Volume 2 Chapter 5-2 Blackmail Is Not Good. Especially Not Good to Do to Young Girls
In the case of a 'Grand Alliance', it's usually formed for a very large-scale operation, something that doesn't happen often.
"Ellie. Is this even possible?"
"It depends on the rank of the guild the alliance representative belongs to."
"And what about that Cedal guy?"
"He's a member of the SS-rank guild 'Worldsworn'. So it's definitely possible."
"I see."
That was Horace's thought after hearing the explanation.
('Worldsworn'...sounds familiar...but whatever.)
But while the staff was shaken, it was little Narsha who first sprang into action.
"What are you saying?!"
"Huh?"
"Did these people do something wrong? Don't just say whatever you want!"
She was a strong little girl.
"Damn it, you kid are getting too cocky!"
"Eep..."
"The hero community has been acting all high and mighty lately. A girl acting cocky is a hundred years too soon! I'll crush you!"
"Ugh, ugh... ugh."
Narsha's face turned red...
"Waaaaaah!"
She burst into big tears.
"Damn it, this kid better stop acting tough in front of adults..."
"──An adult who can't tolerate a child getting a little cocky is really nothing to talk about."
"Huh?"
When the man turned around, he saw Ellie with a 'super scary smile' on her face.
"There there, it's okay now."
"Waaaaah!"
Meanwhile, Horace was crouching down, gently hugging Narsha and patting her head.
He's used to this... but, come to think of it, Horace was 27 and definitely a normal guy.
He could probably handle this much with experience.
"What's with you? You've got quite the nice face and body, huh──"
"If you're messing around, I can make you regret it."
"Huh? ...!"
A dark, oppressive aura started leaking from Ellie's body.
It was more about instilling fear than just crushing the opponent with intimidation.
"W-what the hell...?"
The man slowly backed away, edging toward the counter.
Then... a female staff member who was handling Narsha grabbed the man's hair with a 'grab'.
"Don't get cocky, you trash!"
He slammed the guy's head against the counter!
"Aaaaghhhh!"
The man screamed from the sudden, fierce blow to the back of his head.
"You, yelling at Narsha-Narsha like that, you don't even know we're allies, do you? If you keep riding high, I'll smash you! This ain't headquarters, so don't you fucking mock it!"
Still pressing the guy's head against the counter, she grabbed a thick manual and smacked it down, hitting him right in the forehead!
"Aaaghhhh!"
"This place is where high-rankers hang out, and there's a lot of adventurers like you who get ahead of themselves. If you keep looking down on people, we'll crush you, so be ready for it!"
She grabbed the guy's hair and followed up with a hard right straight to his back.
With a power clearly beyond that of a receptionist, the man was sent flying out of the branch in a shrimp curl.
"The rest of you, get the fuck out too!"
""""Eeeppp!""""
Four out of the 5 left the branch.
Watching this, Horace thought to himself.
He knew that in this country, the princess was only 14, and the citizens had a bit of a lolita complex.
But it was just too ignorant.
At first, he had petted Narsha's head to calm her down, but halfway through, he had plugged her ears.
As the tension in the branch started to ease, he stopped blocking her ears.
"There, there, Narsha-Narsha. It's all good now. The scary people are gone."
Horace was the one who hadn't called them 'scary men.'
