Volume 7 Chapter 19-2 Come To Think Of It, More Than Half Of My Friends Are Excellent Students

Catherine was the first to snap out of her reverie. She lifted her face with a determined expression, shot Randy a meaningful smile, and spoke up.

"Hey, big guy. Don't you think Saint as a model is a brilliant idea?"

Randy nodded at Catherine's smug look. "Well, it'll definitely make an impact." In fact, it would have a terrifyingly effective advertising impact on believers. Plus, Catherine herself was quite attractive.

In regions like the Empire and Dukedoms, where Catherine's shortcomings weren't known, her title as Saint and her appearance would likely have a huge effect.

"A copier prototype, you say? Rely on this saint's intellect."

Catherine laughed loudly, "Hohoho," but Leon teased her, "Saintly Lady, what about your afternoon classes?"

 "W-well, just for a day—"

As Leon, her self-appointed guardian, and Catherine began their back-and-forth, Livia raised her hand enthusiastically. "I'll do it too!"

"Oh, nice. There's definitely demand for off-shots of the Second Generation Sword Saint!"

Randy nodded happily and turned to Julius. "What about you?"

 "Julius, let's do it too!"

Livia grabbed Julius's arm. Julius sighed softly. 'Hmm…' he murmured, glancing at his sketchbook.

"I don't think it suits me..."

 "It's fine. Let's take a picture together,"

Livia insisted, pointing to a shot of Harrison and Rita. "Like this."

In front of the sketchbook, Livia leaned close, saying, "Hey, hey," while Julius stroked her head, "Well, it's a good experience." Randy whispered softly to Wayne,

"I always wonder, are these two dating?"

 "How should I know?"

Wayne shrugged. "I'm passing on that question." Fair enough. So far, participants seemed to be couples: Cory and Annabelle, Catherine and Leon (still figuring things out), and now Livia and Julius.

Another pair, Cecilia and Luke, were looking at the lookbook. "This is lovely," Cecilia said. "I think it suits you," Luke replied, creating a pinkish atmosphere.

"For a loner like me, it has nothing to do with me—"

"That's a shame. I was thinking of asking Lady Airen to be a model too."

Randy glanced at Wayne with a fake expression and exaggeratedly shook his head. "Really unfortunate."

"Can't be helped. Lady Airen will be in a two-shot with Yamada—"

 "My dear friend..."

Wayne placed a hand on Randy's shoulder, gave a thumbs-up, and smiled. "Just tell me whatever chores or whatever you want."

Simple-minded as ever, but that's what made Wayne great. Randy nodded. "Then, I leave it to you," and turned back to Luke and the others.

"As for the rest, what will you do?"

Luke gave Randy a sidelong glance, furrowing his brow.

 "...You're scheming something, right?"

"Scheming? I just want genuine help."

Luke tilted his head, asking, "Really?" toward Randy, who was frowning.

 "It's true."

Randy sighed. For the lookbook, this group was the best choice. Starting with Saint, then Sword Saint, the former prince, and Luke and others, including a former prince and a count's daughter—all had top-tier brains.

If everyone looked impeccable and had name value to boot, this was the best selection for a surprise move.

"I agree about the models, but... as for the prototypes—"

"I want their power for the prototypes too. The calculations are a bit complicated. Simply put, I needed highly intelligent workforce."

Randy watched everyone get excited about the models. Apart from Wayne and Luke, including Cory and Annabelle, everyone in the academy possessed top-tier intellect.

Nodding, Randy agreed there was no better help than these talented people and started to speak again.

"It's for the prototype of the copier, after all. When copying photos, there's no harm or danger involved."

Seeing Randy smile, Luke frowned. "That's certainly true, but..."

"This time, it'll be okay. This time, yeah."

When Randy concluded, it seemed like everyone's policy was decided, and Catherine called out to Randy.

 "Everyone's participating."

"Well, looks like we've got the labor force... so should we all head to the Magic Tool Research Club?"

At Randy's command, everyone stood up with smiles. Even though Randy alone drew attention, several of the college's most famous people seemed to be enjoying themselves. They were more conspicuous in this courtyard than they realized.

 Therefore...

"It seems to be following the guidelines, but in the end, it's a request from Prince Julius."

Two male students whispering to each other were watching Julius, who was with Randy. Catherine and Cecilia were also famous at the college, but neither held a faction. Moreover, Catherine still hadn't shaken off her negative image as a bad debtor.

"First, report to Mr. Dario. We must keep track of Prince Julius's movements."

The two students whispered and left the scene. Away from them, two more students were talking.

"It's indeed about how to contain Prince Julius. It seems like the Dario camp is also moving, so we should hold a meeting today."

"Alright, we'll report to His Highness."

The two students nodded to each other, turned their backs on the courtyard, and disappeared into the school building.

Thus, without Randy's knowledge, the other camps were steadily preparing for the election. And that preparation, which would blow away Randy's dream of the prototype copying machine, or rather be blown away unintentionally, was something that no one knew about yet.
