Volume 1 Chapter 25 Benjamin II
Benjamin looked at Cain, a smile on his face.
'I have to teach him "Mana Control" in the short time before we go back to the royal capital, or Cain's big Mana will make him "explode" again and die. So, first, I have to check.'
"Alright Cain, before we start, I want to know a little. From what I heard from your father, the skills you have are [Magic circle magic], [Earth magic], and [healing magic], right?"
Benjamin started checking what he heard from Luke.
"Yes, that's right."
'Cain doesn't know he's a rare case with 3 "magic" skills. I can see he has a huge MP with [Mana Vision], but I have to check the numbers too.'
"Also, asking about your status is a no-no, but it's important, so I want you to be honest. How much Mana (MP) do you have now?"
"Um, "Status Open", I have 1800 MP."
"Can you say that again?"
"1800."
'Whoa, that's way more than I thought. I thought it would be around 180 MP...'
"1800... Ten times more than I expected... I only have 320, so that's about 6 times more than me. I have to change how I teach him."
'With 1800 MP, it'll be dangerous if he loses Concentration during training. I have to use that thing to limit his MP. Let's try it out as an experiment.'
"We're going to start training "Mana Control", but until you can do it, wear this on your arm and don't take it off."
Benjamin told him to put the "Mana Absorber" on his arm.
The jewel on the "Mana Absorber" glowed blue.
'Alright, it looks like it's working fine even with over 1000 MP. The "Mana Absorber" stores 1/10 of the MP the user absorbs into this "magic stone," so it'll build up 180 MP a day. With a "magic stone" this size, we can stock up to about 3000, so it should last during the stay.'

So, Cain started his training for "Mana Control.".
At first, Benjamin helped him, but in just a few days, Cain mastered "Circulation.".
Benjamin looked back on the training up to today.
'Normally, "Circulation," which moves a mass of "Mana," takes time, moving it little by little, bringing it back to the lower abdomen, and repeating that to learn "Circulation." It seems he pushed himself a bit too much, so he felt quite a bit of pain. Well, it's just a little, so it should be fine.'
'Now, the next "Release" is going to hurt. But once it pierces, the pain will gradually go away, so I have to be tough here. Seeing my cute little brother in pain is hard.'
Benjamin placed his hand on Cain's back and started moving the Mana, also covering Cain with his own "Mana" to make sure he couldn't pull away.
'Cain, even if it hurts, just hold on. If you stop now, it'll hurt even more next time.'
"It hurts, it hurts."
As Cain struggled to pull away with each wave of pain, Benjamin intensified the "Mana" to keep his hands in place.
'Alright, just a little more.'
The "Mana" pierced through Cain's right hand and flowed into and out of his left hand.
"Phew, you did well. But we're going to keep it in "Circulation" just like that."
Cain shot a glare full of killing intent at him.
'I feel like I'm really getting hated now... I should try to make up for it.'
"Okay, that's enough for today. We'll continue tomorrow."
Benjamin told him they'd continue the training later and advised him to rest.

"Now then, I should work hard to make him like me."
Benjamin was in the Great Forest where the monsters of the Sanroze Territory lived, trying to make Cain happy.
"Randolph said 'I want to make jerky with the leftovers, so don't hold back.' I guess I'll give it my all."
He starts "Circulation," puts his hand toward the forest, and shoots out "Mana" like a flat disc.
"Clink!" A sound like something hitting something, from the two o'clock direction.
"Alright, found some prey over there."
Something is coming this way from deep in the forest, making "crack, crack" sounds.
A thing like a small mountain is hiding and showing through the trees as it runs straight toward Benjamin.
It sounds like a "Whooo!" a cry, or maybe just heavy breathing, but it's like a huge animal.
It jumped out from between the trees──a Wileyboar, over 2 meters tall.
"Ice Lance!"
Benjamin used the "Circulation"-boosted Mana to fire an ice spear, as thick as a telephone pole, right at the Wileyboar's face.
"Gaa-SHHAA!" A huge sound, and the Wileyboar's charge stopped.
The Wileyboar shook its head a few times to clear its head, then looked at Benjamin again.
"Ice Spike!!"
A bunch of big, sharp ice spikes appeared from under the Wileyboar's feet, stabbing deep and finishing it off.
Blood flowed down the ice spikes, making a big puddle.
"Hmm, if it's this big, maybe everyone can eat it. 'Ice Spike' is good for draining the blood too, how convenient... Oh, shoot. How do I carry this thing???"
In the end, Benjamin went back to the mansion to get a cart.
