It was all part of Benjamin's charm, the way he'd been wrung out until he had no feeling left in his legs, turning him into a newborn fawn for a while.
However, he vowed to one day repay Chris in full for poking fun at his numb legs.
"Hey, Cain, your [hot water] [magic circle] disappeared, is that okay?"
"It's fine. I didn't put any [Mana] into it, so it disappears after one use. If I infuse it with [Mana], it can be used multiple times. For continuous use like [Magic Inscription], a large amount of [Mana] is needed."
"Huh, sounds convenient, but also kind of a hassle."
Benjamin seemed deep in thought.
"Well, you need 300L for one bath, so that's 1,200L at the base rate. If we use the [magic circle], it's triple that, so 3,600L of [Mana]. If we change it 6 times a day, that's 21,600L. Even if we max out an orc's magic stone, it's only enough for 2 days. We'd need 7 sets to last 2 weeks."
"You're spouting some crazy stuff. That's an impossible amount of [Mana]."
Benjamin called out in exasperation.
"Heh heh, but it's for my family and everyone else. I don't use it outside the house, so it's okay."
"Take a deep breath before you act, Cain."
With a half-given-up expression, Benjamin stabbed the hook again.

After returning from Benjamin's room to mine, I created a magic item for the bath while no one was home.
"I should ask Randolph to buy some orc magic stones later. If I charge the [Mana] for the magic stones used in the mansion, will he give me a bulk discount?"
"Yeah, something felt off just now. Should we check our status?"
"Opening status. Ah, yes! My [Magic circle magic] level has gone up, but it's gone

He closed the status screen, reluctantly.
"Randolph~ I need a favor. Do you have 7 orc magic stones?"
"Orc magic stones, you say? We have some from the recent hunt. I don't mind giving them to you, but what do you need them for?"
"Great! I was about to go buy some if you didn't have any. So, I made a magic tool that can use [Hot Water]. I want to use it because, with it, even if I'm away in the Border Count Shield's domain, we can still get hot water for the 'bathhouse.' I'll explain how to use it later, but while I'm gone, please take care of it."
"Once again, you've created something amazing. Hmm... I think it would be best if you showed it to Master Cain first. Sir Cain, do you have a moment?"
"Huh? Well, that's fine, but isn't Father busy?"
"He's fine. By now, he's probably done with the urgent paperwork and is working on some instructions."
"Got it. I needed to explain it before I leave anyway. Let's go."
Cain headed to Luke's office with Randolph.
Inside the office, Luke and Arthur were busy drafting instructions, just like Randolph had said.
'Hey, hey, is there a security camera here or something?' Cain looked around the office, suspicious.
"Cain, what did you do this time?"
Luke asked, clearly amused.
"What's so funny, Father? Didn't you say you were going to calm him down a bit last time?"
Arthur, exasperated, chimed in with a sharp remark.
"Since Benjamin and Randolph didn't rush in, it doesn't seem like it's life-threatening. It's fine. So, Cain, what did you do?"
"Yes, I made the [Hot Water] magic tool. I wanted to make sure the 'bath' can still be used while I'm away at the Border Count Shield's territory. I didn't do anything strange, right?"
"This time, a magic tool... Well, I know you were thinking of your family and the people in the house, so... 'Thank you, Cain.' But remember, Cain, even though there are a few people who can make magic tools, it's not something a 7-year-old should be able to do so easily."
Luke stood up from his chair and walked over to Cain, giving him a gentle hug.
"Cain, everyone, including Arthur, is worried about your safety. There's an old saying: 'Too much power will bring ruin.' So, just be careful, alright?"
Cain was lightly patted on the head, then freed from the embrace. "Excuse me," he said, bowing, and left the office with Randolph.
"Randolph, it's nice to be cared for, isn't it?"
"I'm surprised you understand that at 7, but... you're right."
Randolph agreed with a smile so wide it almost made his eyes disappear. After that, Randolph gave Cain the magic stone, and the [Hot Water] magic tool was completed.
