"Phew, phew, phew, sigh, done."
Cain finished his morning run, part of his daily routine, and found Benjamin waiting at the training grounds. Benjamin flashed Cain a bright, refreshing smile.
"Morning, Cain. You're early. I see you've been training hard. Good job."
Cain answered right back with a smile to match.
"Elder Brother Ben, good morning. Yes, I must follow my master's orders."
Benjamin seemed genuinely happy about Cain's growth, but he got straight to the point.
"So, how much did you level up after that last fight? I'm super curious, teacher's privilege."
'Jeez, why does this guy's sinister smile look so good on him? And he looks really cool, too.'
"I've actually got something to ask you, too, so this works out. My level's 15 now. Oh, and my [Earth magic] is up to Lv.4, [healing magic] is Lv.3. Plus, I just got a new skill──[No Chant]."
"That's what I expect from you, Cain. Way more growth than I thought. Makes my plan way easier to pull off."

Time rewinds a little──back to last night after dinner.
Cain crawled into bed, checking out his status board.
"Alright, let's see if I leveled up at all. If I gained, like, 2 levels, that'd be pretty good... Well, beating a couple goblins and one orc shouldn't boost me that much, right? Status Open──huh? Wait, what the heck is this?"

Need to say the magic name, and if you can't imagine the spell's result, it won't work even if you say [No Chant].

"Wh-what is it? Elder Brother Ben's plan? I'm a bit worried..."
"Relax, relax. Seriously, I want to boost this town's defenses. Thought I'd borrow Cain's strength for that. So, I want to check what you can and can't do."
'Now he says "borrow"? Well, if it's for the town, I guess it's okay...'
"...Yes, that's fine."
"You don't like it? Cain's doing this for the people of the town. You don't like that?"
"I don't dislike it! I'll cooperate. Please let me cooperate."
"Good, Cain's a good kid after all."
Benjamin, with a refreshing smile, patted Cain's head.
'Elder Brother Ben is still "Demon" Benjamin.'
"Elder Brother Ben, what exactly do you want me to do? What can I help with?"
"Mhm, before we get into specifics, let me confirm 2 more things. [Earth magic] is at Lv.4, right? And I want to know your current [Mana] amount. I don't need the exact number, just for planning purposes."
"Elder Brother Ben, I'll tell you everything, but please don't tell anyone else. I mean, I don't think they'd believe you even if you did..."
Benjamin??
He's got a look of...
"First off, [Earth magic] is now at Lv.4. I can use new spells like [Rock Wall], [Earth Press], and [Earth Spike]. And the Mana... it's infinite."
"Huh? [Earth magic] is as expected, but what do you mean by infinite Mana?"
"I mean, it's infinite. I can use as much [magic] as I want. But I haven't tried to see how much Mana I can use at once yet. Unlike last time with the [healing magic], if I suddenly use a huge amount, it might give me a bad 'Mana headache...' I don't like the pain, so..."
"Heh, ah-hahaha, ho, Cain really is funny. It's good that Cain is Cain. Yeah, looks like we can speed up our plans, a happy miscalculation."
Benjamin was happily patting Cain's head.
'He seems a bit off, but he looks happy, so it's probably okay.'
"Cain, there are 2 things I want to do. First, I want to build a new fortress in front of the wall near the Great Deep Forest to reduce direct combat like last time. Second, I want to expand the wall on the opposite side of the Great Deep Forest to increase the land for our people to live and the area for farming. I'd like your help with this."
Benjamin laid out his grand plans.
