I'm one with Frederica and her spirit armor... we're fused.
It's the final showdown with the mastermind, Amou, on the moon.
In this last battle, we're in a pinch, having lost the Eye of the Time King.
I stand before him with my comrades, wielding the power of the bonds I've forged with Frederica.
"I never expected you to wear the SPIRIT ARMOR. TRULY impressive."
Amou... he's smiling.
He looks almost pleased.
What a weirdo.
'Let's go, Master. We must defeat him QUICKLY, as Great Hero Lawrence and the others are fighting the Demon King on the surface.'
"I KNOW. We have to kill him to cut off the Demon King's supply of magic, or Lawrence and the others won't WIN."
We're going to do it here.
This is truly our last chance.
Amou smirks and looks at us.
"That's the SPIRIT. But can you DO it? How can you fight me, when I can SKIP TIME?"
Amou activates his ability again.
The ultimate ability: to erase time and leave only the results.
But...
"It won't WORK on us anymore."
"WH-WHAT?!"
I'm right in front of Amou.
I slam my fist into his surprised face.
THUD!
Amou goes flying like a pinball, with a huge sound.
"IMPOSSIBLE... Time was DEFINITELY skipped. You should have been FROZEN in time..."
Amou activates his time skip again.
But the result is the same.
This time, I slash at Amou with an ice knife.
"GAH...! WHAT... what's HAPPENING... I have to understand, I have to understand the UNKNOWN...!"
"What's wrong, Amou? You're usually so CONFIDENT, but you're REALLY shaken now."
Amou is a Transcendent.
He's lived for a long, long time.
He must have accumulated a lot of experience in his mind.
Even for someone like Amou, something unexpected is happening.
He's feeling fear of the unknown for the first time in his life.
"I'm COMING for you."
The world... freezes.
Everything is frozen.
While Amou didn't move a muscle, I was the only one moving.
Then, I drove an ice-cold knife straight into Amou's body.
"GYAAAAHHH!"
Squelch...!
Blood gushed out from Amou's shoulder.
"NO WAY... I couldn't sense you getting CLOSE...!?"
"In a FROZEN world, even YOU can't move."
"Frozen... NO WAY...!"
Amou muttered, dumbfounded.
"You... stopped TIME. No... you FROZE TIME ITSELF!"
