Volume 5 Chapter 50 Epilogue I

Volume 5 Chapter 50 Epilogue I

Now, let's talk about what happened after that.

Lawrence and the others returned to the Royal Capital.

And they made a huge announcement: the Demon King Dostoevsky had been Exterminated.

During the victory parade hosted by the King, Lawrence publicly declared that it was all thanks to me, a member of Gem of Heavenly Gift.

After that, the newspapers swarmed Lawrence for interviews.

They spread the word across the continent: how he was once a skinny nobody, trained by me, and then grew into a first-class Hero.

 And the result...?

That even the weakest of people can succeed if they have a long-term view.

 That idea spread like wildfire.

The whole world's [Exile Boom] finally started to fade, thanks to Lawrence's huge success.

With that, Gem of Heavenly Gift had to change too.

 Helping the weak.

It became standard practice in every Guild and organization.

I didn't even have to wave my hand to make it happen anymore.

Along with a massive organizational revamp, I decided to retire from the Guild.

 My ideal had been achieved.

The end of the Exile Boom meant an end to the days of rejecting the weak.

But even though I left the Guild, they wouldn't let me retire.

I was offered the position of Headquarters Chief of the Guild Association, something I'd been approached about for a while.

I was just working hard toward my goal, and before I knew it, I'd gotten promoted to a high position.

After the Hero Party with Lawrence disbanded, they all went their separate ways.

Some became heads of academies, others started new Guilds.

And some... for some reason, stayed with Gem of Heavenly Gift.

 There were all sorts.

 But I didn't interfere anymore.

 They weren't raw gems anymore.

I didn't need to polish them anymore.

The Hero Parties from the Far East returned to their hometowns.

The others have all settled into their rightful places.

The moment I became the Headquarters Chief of the Guild, I also married Frederica.

We built a house in the Royal Capital and started our life together there.

We're expecting a baby next year.

 The name?

 We're picking it together.

 It's going to be a girl's name.

"Why only DECIDE on a GIRL'S name?"

 "Such a FOOLISH question."

...Now, about the Eye of the Time King.

The eye I have is Transcendent, forced upon me by Amou.

It was supposed to be the one I lost during my fight with him, but somehow, it revived.

Though... it doesn't seem to grant me the same power to control time like before.

I can no longer kill with a single glance, nor stop or rewind time.

All I can do now is catch a glimpse of the near future.

Even so, it's still incredibly overpowered.

It's a shame I lost the ability to spot talent... but I don't need that anymore.

The world has grown kinder to the weak.

Being weak is no longer seen as evil.

So... the Villainous Guildmaster role is done for.

That eye was what made me the Villainous Guildmaster.

Without it, I'm just another actor in this age.

But I don't feel sad about it.

I can already see the future.

 ...No.

I've found comrades, friends, and above all, the woman I love, who will face the future with me.

...And so, time passes, and generations change...
