Volume 6 Chapter 13 Extra - Annoying Woman II
Not long after, our carriage rolled up to a certain spot in Evashima──the capital of the beastman country, Neroguma.
"Whoa! Now that's a fancy hotel! Totally fit for someone like you, Master!"
"And why do you sound like some kind of expert?"
Yeah... it's a pretty damn nice hotel.
The Starlight Hotel.
Hah. Starlight, huh? Moved up in the world, I see.
A whole squad of hotel staff was lined up out front, bowing all proper.
"Sir Act Age. We've been waiting for you. Please, right this way. The manager is expecting you."
"You have my thanks."
The hotel staff started leading us toward our room, where the servants would be waiting, but...
As we reached the entrance to the magic elevator hall, a woman dashed straight for us.
"Aaaaaaact──!"
Whoosh!
She spread her wings and leapt, gliding right at me with arms wide open.
In a flash, Frederica stepped between us, caught the winged woman mid-air, and pinned her to the ground.
"What exactly are you doing, Starlight?"
"Hey! Missus Frederica! Long time no see!"
"Yes, it's been a while. And for the record──Sir Act is mine. Miiine! And I'm his wife, Frederica. Wife! Frederica! Please keep that in mind, thanks."
The winged woman nodded like, "yeah, yeah, got it," and Frederica let her go.
"Man, been ages, Mister Act."
"Starlight. You look like you're doing well."
This woman's name is Starlight.
She's one of the winged folk──demihuman.
She looks mostly human, except for those jet-black wings sprouting from her lower back.
Black hair, sharp eyes──like a fox sizing you up.
"Business looks like it's booming."
"Thanks to you, Mister Act, the Starlight Hotel's blown up! We're top of the world now! It's all thanks to you! Seriously, can't thank you enough!"
...Honestly, it's not because of me. This is all her hard work.
