Volume 6 Chapter 34 Extra
I've come to the slave mine in the Kingdom of Geeta Niga.
There are all kinds of races here, working as slaves.
"Sir Act... that..."
"Yeah."
A man was working up a sweat alongside the slaves.
An old guy with white hair.
I've seen him before.
Of course I have.
He's the one who exiled me... Irankus.
"Mr. Irankus! There's an injured person over here!"
"Alright! Wait, I'm coming!"
Irankus dashes over to his fellow slaves.
Then, he easily lifts the injured person.
"Sorry... Irankus."
"It's fine."
Irankus carries the injured person outside, right past me.
He widens his eyes for a moment but walks on by.
"Well, he's a bit rude, isn't he?"
Frederica snorts through her nose.
But this woman isn't dumb.
She knows Irankus didn't ignore me out of malice.
He just prioritized helping the injured over greeting an acquaintance.
"So, Sir Act. Are you really going to...? After all, you got it from Sir Edward."
"It's fine. I'm not short on money anyway."
I've left the guild operations to my daughter, Henrietta.
She's running the guild just fine on her own.
She doesn't need her dad's financial help, she's growing the guild big.
"Then, having a lot of money doesn't mean much."
"...As you wish, Master."
"Got a problem with that?"
"No, I follow your lead, Master."
As we're talking, Irankus comes up to me.
He must have finished the emergency treatment.
"Long time no see, Act."
"Yeah, you too, Irankus."
Irankus.
The original [Trueborn Hero] Guildmaster, the one who exiled me.
He was fat back then, but now he's thin.
But not weak-looking.
All the useless muscle is gone──his body's sharp, tight.
"What's wrong? Why're you here in a dump like this?"
"Don't tell me you haven't heard? Starting today, I'm the new owner of this slave mine."
"What!? Is that so... Well, it does make sense. After all, you're the hero who saved the world."
Irankus knows what I really did.
Out there, folks believe Hero Lawrence wiped out the Demon King at dawn.
But behind the scenes, Irankus knows I'm the one who saved the world.
"So that's it, huh? You're here as the new boss, giving greetings to your slaves?"
"Yeah, pretty much. Go round up the others for me."
"Alright."
Not a hint of annoyance on Irankus's face, even when I order him around.
He's grown up a bit, huh, Irankus?
