Volume 6 Chapter 29 Dragon Silver Sword Tel Agatha

"...Well, I've asked everything I needed."

"You could've just asked back at the tavern. Why now?"

Brave Rangella and the Holy Knight Masamitsu—two titans of Luster Report and Moonlight Nine—stood face to face.

In pure skill, Masamitsu had the upper hand. He effortlessly deflected Rangella's relentless strikes.

But even so, there was no telling if his blade, not yet fully unleashed, could actually land a decisive blow.

After all, this was a duel of technique, not intent.

"My mouth's always been sharper than my sword, hasn't it?" Rangella quipped mid-swing.

"...You've been scolded for that before, haven't you?"

Masamitsu chuckled. He had, more than once. A sign of how long he'd been fighting people like her.

"Well then," he said, adjusting his stance. "Seems the flow of battle's finally settled. Time to stir the waters a little."

Rangella gripped her blade tightly. "Dragon Silver Sword—Tel Agatha," she declared. "Skill: All-in Time."

A surge of magical power exploded from the weapon, flowing into her arm and wrapping her body in frost-forged armor. Blade and wielder transformed—cold, jagged, and beautiful. The sword's steel faded, replaced by a crystalline edge of ice.

"...This is my full strength," she said softly.

"Your strongest card, huh?" Masamitsu raised his blade in response.

All-in Time. A draconic technique passed down through beings like the Astral Dragon Gai Gigant and Hoardspirit Dragon Zeth Halcon. A legacy of raw power.

"That design... was it Raig's work?" Masamitsu muttered. "Glasha's bloodline or not, he's going overboard. He's not a kid anymore."

He smiled faintly, sword pointed toward his foe.

 "Let's go."

Rangella darted forward, icy blade slashing down in a flash of silver and frost. Masamitsu blocked—but even he staggered beneath the weight.

"Incredible pressure. With that kind of strength, even the Demon Lord would've struggled."

"If I'd remembered back then... I never would've met my master. Never founded Luster Report. Never fought the Demon Lord."

"...Didn't expect you to get all philosophical." Masamitsu narrowed his eyes. "Still bitter about not keeping up with 'Mama,' huh? There's only been one person besides the President I felt worthy to follow. That hasn't changed. But maybe... that's exactly why Moonlight Nine trusts me."

"I get it. Even after a thousand years, you haven't changed."

Their blades clashed again—but Rangella pulled back, spun, and conjured a volley of icy arrows. Masamitsu slashed through them in a single sweeping arc.

"I know Mama's influence is strong," Rangella said. "But she hasn't made herself known. Just rumors about her showing up at your base."

"Could be true. I haven't met her."

 "...Really?"

Her sword gleamed, and the blade extended—cold wind pouring from the edge.

 "No way..."

"Ultimate Technique: Eight Kings Prime Decree."

 She swung.

A blizzard of power surged toward Masamitsu. He raised his sword just in time—but even so, his footing slipped, his face tightening.

 "Guh...!"

The atmosphere shifted again. Masamitsu sensed it immediately.

"Super Ultimate Technique: March of the Triumphant Eight Kings!"

Eight blades of frozen light formed and hovered behind Rangella.

"Super Ultimate Technique: Yamata-no-Orochi's Eightfold Banquet!"

Icy ribbons unfurled from the sword's hilt, dancing ominously in the air.

"Super Ultimate Technique: Imperial Blade of the Eightfold Shadowflame!"

Her weapon extended once more, exuding a sharpness that cut through the very air.

 "...Quite the performance," Masamitsu said.

"Is it?" Rangella smiled. "Thought you'd recognize this set—I usually save it for my master."

"You've got more where that came from, huh?"

"Plenty. You're just my warm-up today."

Her aura burned like frostbite. All three Super Ultimate Techniques released in full—each one a spell that would've crushed lesser fighters outright.

 It should've drained her.

But Rangella remained composed, eyes locked on her opponent.

"...Some say certainty is the true source of magical power. You believe that?"

 "Not really."

"Then the reason I'm still standing... must lie elsewhere."

 Masamitsu exhaled.

 And in the next heartbeat—

 "...Gah! Cough!"

Rangella froze. A cross-shaped slash tore through her armor—and her body.

The ice shattered, magical power spilling from the wound like blood.

The blow had pierced not only her defenses, but the magic woven into her form. In the spiritual body dungeon, it wasn't blood that marked defeat—it was mana.

"...That logic," Masamitsu said, lowering his blade, "is still far beyond you."

Rangella gasped. Her body faded into mist.

 Defeat.

When one's spirit form reached its limit inside this dungeon, the body vanished—forcefully returned to the outside world.

 There was no death here.

No need for mercy, or restraint.

Masamitsu looked down at his hand, still shaking faintly from the strike.

"...you've grown stronger," he said. "But the gap in experience—and the weight of what I carry—are still far greater."
