Volume 7 Chapter 24-2 Election? I'll Do My Best Starting Tomorrow

Julius looked around at everyone, trying to change the subject.

"So, what were you all doing?"

Julius, noticing Randy's sour expression, turned to Cecilia and the others with a look of disbelief. "This is about yesterday, right?"

 "I see."

Cecilia and Catherine's faces were red, Luke looked angry, and Randy still had a bad expression. Julius sighed, shook his head, and pressed his fingertips to his forehead, understanding the situation.

Meanwhile, Wayne was the only one confused.

 "What's going on? What happened?"

Wayne, who had gone straight back to the dorm without stopping by the café, had no idea about yesterday's commotion.

Randy, deciding to explain to Wayne, began telling the whole story with a sour look.

 "Isn't that your fault?"

Wayne tilted his head, and Randy asked, "Why?" with a frown.

"Well, you touched Miss Elizabeth and Lady Eleonora's sides, right? When you tickled them and they moved—"

Wayne's cheeks turned red, and he glanced at Liz and Ellie's chests before quickly looking away. Everyone understood what he meant, and their eyes turned to Randy and the others.

The three of them were looking down with flushed faces.

 "You perverted gorilla!"

"I told you it was off-limits!"

 "How shameless!"

"D-damn it! How can you be so lucky!"

They cursed Randy, and Luke and Wayne even started hitting him.

"Wait, no, it was an accident—"

 "You still touched them!"

 "What's wrong with you!"

The inflammatory remark caused Luke and Wayne to heat up even more. The group's momentum was so intense that it seemed like they'd even overshadow yesterday's topic, drawing the attention of every student in the courtyard.

The argument grew louder, drawing the attention of all the students in the courtyard. The envy from yesterday had turned into admiration, especially from the commoners and lower nobles.

Randy and the others noticed the change but were more surprised inside.

Since doing as he pleased, the way people looked at him had improved.

He didn't know what Edgar and Dario were up to, so he had some idea why, but it was hard to believe.

While under curious gazes, Randy, after being thoroughly beaten, muttered as he collapsed onto the desk, "That was horrible."

"Because you did those things without confessing, seriously..."

Randy pinched his nose at Cecilia's words, who was pouting, and he replied, "It's still not possible too."

"I promised His Excellency. Once there's progress on Verinea's development, I can't tell Liz, and I shouldn't tell Ellie either."

It was almost like a confession, but Randy would never admit it.

"So, are we working on the copying machine prototype today?"

Cecilia tilted her head. "Yeah," Randy replied, shaking his chair and looking up at the blue sky. He still had many concerns.

For example, the Illusory Strain Crystal used as a lens. Its effect was fine, but it had been unreliable for testing magical power in the past. Its impact moving forward and why it was inaccurate needed investigation. Until then, full approval couldn't be given.

Randy's gaze, after organizing his thoughts, passed through the blue sky to the upside-down courtyard where students in uniform were present.

The same uniform. Even with limited copies, a certain quantity was needed.

In other words, another concern was—

"Hey, it's been a day since I saw you."

In Randy's inverted view, Noah and Emma appeared upside down. Noah without his white coat was a rare sight.

"Yo. Thanks for your help yesterday."

Noah smiled. "It was fun," he told Randy, who was still upside down but smiling.

"It's been a while since it felt like the Magic Tool Research Club."

Seeing Noah's happy expression, Randy straightened his chair and faced them. "Glad to hear it."

"What will you do today? Finally start the photoglyph plate?"

Noah tilted his head and mentioned that today's study group would likely include students who had been absent. With more people, various experiments could be done. Randy nodded strongly, giving him a reason to attend the Magic Tool Research Club again.

"Alright. Shall I work on the concerns and the photoglyph plate at the same time?"

"You're not going to campaign for the election, are you?"

Cecilia looked stunned. Randy smiled. "It's fine," he said, and they decided to head out for experiments unrelated to the election.

No one could have imagined that this visit and Randy's ideas about the photoglyph plate would lead to his election campaign—or whatever it was.
