Volume 7 Chapter 30 As Expected, It Won't End In Just One Line...

It was a single moment. All the first-year students gathered there—no, even Gustav—could not see clearly what had happened. Only Gardo and Burk could barely make it out.

Randy jumped in the instant it began.

He closed the gap in a flash, and as he stomped the ground, he threw a punch.

His fist hit Zaif on the top of the head and slammed him down to the ground.

It really was just a moment. And only one hit. The difference in strength was too great. But the sad truth was that only Gardo and Burk understood that. Zaif, who had been slammed down, likely could barely understand what had just happened.

That was no surprise. Randy was not wearing the "suppression" shirt now. Of course, he held back as much as he could. Still, it could not compare to the weakness caused by the "suppression" shirt.

Randy took off the "suppression" shirt for a simple reason: it was not because Zaif had so much power—but because this fight was also about protecting the honor of Gardo and Burk.

They said Randy was stronger than them. He could not show a "fair fight" while weakened.

The fight had to meet their expectations. It had to be overwhelming.

Freed from the weakening effect, Randy kicked Zaif, who was still on the ground, though he still held back.

"Hey, get up fast. You came to take my test, right?"

Just as Gardo was about to shout "Stop" to Zaif, who was rolling around, Zaif bounced to his feet.

 "Hey, you awake?"

"...More than I thought. Looks like you have what it takes to fight me for real."

As Zaif brushed dirt from his face, Randy sighed and said, "Don't get cocky, idiot."

"If this was my test, you'd be done."

As Randy said, if he were the one giving the test, Zaif would be out after that one hit.

This was not just a simple matter of winning or losing.

Because in the Victor Knight Brigade, excuses like "I was careless" were never accepted. The moment someone said that, the gates of the Victor Knight Brigade would never open for them again.

"What will you do? Are you going to decide if I pass or fail, loser?"

Zaif grinned slyly at Randy, who frowned.

"Say what you want. Since you couldn't kill me with one hit, you're the one who's going to lose."

"Who said I'm trying to kill you, idiot."

Randy snorted and took a fighting stance.

"Throwing your dumb words around in front of your cute junior, huh?"

If Randy wanted to kill, it would be easy. Seeing Randy's serious face, Zaif's frown grew deeper. The fake smile vanished, and his face twisted in anger.

In front of Zaif, who was twisting his face, Randy tapped the ground with his left toe—tap tap.

"Then, one more shot. Same as before... Nice to meet you—"

The moment Randy grinned, Zaif was slammed to the ground again. True to his word, Randy's fist hit exactly the same way and at the same angle as before.

Even knowing this, Zaif could not dodge or block it in time. A stronger, faster punch than before drove Zaif's face deeper into the ground...

Then Randy stomped Zaif's sinking head with his right foot.

 —Thud.

A tremble shook the entire playground. Gardo's small voice called out, "That's enough."

 "Victor, Randoplh Victor—"

Randy, hearing the cheer for victory, turned to the stunned first-year students and raised a V-sign: "Clean win."

The students who finally understood cheered loudly. Their applause echoed across the wide playground and into the school building.

From the school windows, many students looked out, asking, "What's going on?" But Randy...

"Well then, Administrator. How about the results?"

He slowly walked toward Gustav, who stared blankly.

 "W-wait. Zaif's true strength is—"

 Gustav muttered while stepping back.

"—He hasn't even shown half his real power yet..."

Though Gustav muttered this, Zaif, still on the ground, did not move. Indeed, as Gustav said, Zaif, known as the Black Wolf, had not shown even half his true strength.

In fact, Randy understood that too. Judging by Zaif's stance and mood, it seemed he would only fight seriously when holding a sword. Maybe like Luke, Zaif was skilled in magic as well. Also, he showed no sign of using physical power boosts.

But that was true for Randy too.

They fought on equal terms, and this was the result. Still, Gustav kept muttering "The power is..." as if he could not accept it.

What they did not know was that this was exactly Randy's real goal...

"Huh? What did you say? You don't understand my strength?"

Randy grinned, making Gustav say, "Huh?" This was Randy's goal, and why he crushed Zaif before things got serious. After all, it was just a practice fight. Neither side could show their "true selves" no matter how long it lasted.

So there was no reason to fight at full power from the start. Instead, Randy would use that confusion to his advantage.

"This is a problem. If you don't understand my power, then here's my advice—"

Randy suddenly acted like he just thought of something and smiled brightly at Gustav.

"If the Administrator is here, it will be solved."
