He looked through the status board to check the new spells.
"Oh, there are 3 new spells: [Earth Sonar], [Stone Cannon], and [Soil Improve]."

"Great! With [Earth Sonar], I won't make mistakes digging the sewer. Perfect timing! Maybe this is thanks to Goddess Gardea's Blessing?"
Cain smiled, imagining himself digging the sewer.
"But [Stone Cannon] seems too strong. Even [Stone Bullet] is powerful... and a 20cm ball is like a bowling ball. If it hits, could it beat an ogre? Whoa, wait, that's not a good sign."
Cain pictured the ball hitting an ogre's head and exploding, and he felt chills.
"[Soil Improve] is good. If we use it before planting wheat, we might get more crops. It's hard, but let's try it next time."
Cain thought about a field full of golden wheat.
"Sir Cain, lunch is ready. Please come to the cafeteria."
The maid Lala told him through the door that lunch was prepared.
"Okay, I'm coming now. Thanks, Lala."
Cain replied loudly, and Lala gently said, "Hurry."
Cain closed the status board and went to the cafeteria. After knocking and entering, he saw Lydia already sitting.
"Mother Lydia, sorry to keep you waiting."
Cain smiled and sat next to Lydia. Since Alice went to the capital, Cain has been sitting with Lydia.
"You must be tired, but I just arrived too, so it's fine. What did you do today, Cain?"
"Yes, I finished the city gate yesterday, so I rested this morning."
"I'm glad. You've been working so hard that I thought about making you take a break."
Lydia said something serious but smiled as she touched her cheek.
"No, I'm fine. If I overdo it, everyone else will too," Cain replied with a firm smile.
As they talked, lunch arrived. Today's meal looked like a hamburger. It was big, as usual. Lately, there have been more side dishes and sauces, and some staff say they'd eat it every day.
After lunch, while drinking tea, Cain asked Lydia about Luke, who wasn't there.
"Mother Lydia, where is Father Luke? Is he too busy to leave the office today?"
"Yes, he is. With the city gate and walls almost done, many people are asking to move here. We're so busy we could use more help."
Lydia sighed.
"Don't worry, Cain will go with Father when he leaves."
"Thank you very much."
Cain smiled. "I wonder if Father Luke is okay?"
"Did you need to talk to Luke?"
"Ah, yes. I started the sewer work, so I wanted to tell him. I'll ask Randolph later if he's free."
"I see. You can take a break tomorrow afternoon, so check with him then."
Lydia looked worried.
