Volume 3 Chapter 32 Sewer Construction VIII
After cheering up Gardy, who was feeling sad, the three of them went to Tony and the others' ranch. The ranch was very big, too large for just one horse. Cowcowbull's Hanako spent her time there peacefully, grazing and walking around without any worries.
"Nana, Tony, hello!"
Cain greeted the ranch managers, Nana and Tony, with a loud voice.
"Ah, Sir Cain. Welcome!"
Nana saw Cain and ran over to him.
"Hey, Cain. It's been a while──how have you been?"
Tony also ran over quickly.
"I'm glad to see you both doing well. Is there anything you're having trouble with? If you need anything, just talk to Mother Lydia. She loves butter so much that she can't eat bread without it every day!"
Cain asked the two with a smile. They said they weren't having any problems.
"So, why did you come here today? Did you come to play?"
Tony asked, sounding hopeful.
"Yeah, let's play! What should we do?"
Cain responded to Tony's excitement.
"Hmm, alright. Let's ride Hanako together for the first time in a while!"
Tony pointed at Hanako with his thumb.
Cain and Tony rode Hanako for about an hour, running around the ranch. At first, Hanako walked slowly, trying not to throw them off, but she gradually went faster and ran around. In the end, she moved so much that they were almost thrown off, which made the two laugh.
""Ah, that was fun!""
Cain and Tony thanked Hanako for playing with them. Together, they wiped the sweat off Hanako and filled a bucket with water to give her a drink.

"Nana, Tony, actually, I came here because I have a request for you two."
After playing, the two were offered tea in the living room of their house.
"What should we do next?"
Tony, unable to contain his excitement, asked while making his chair rattle.
"Tony! Your behavior is bad. Please be a little quieter."
Nana scolded her restless younger brother.
"I am really sorry, Sir Cain. What should we do?"
"Nana, you are a beast tamer, right? Do you think you can make slimes follow your orders?"
"Slimes, you say? That is possible, but... not many beast tamers make slimes follow them because they aren't very useful."
Nana looked puzzled as she asked about the slime.
"I'm glad it's possible. I'm thinking of building a sewer system in the town of Sanroze. A sewer system moves rainwater and dirty water into underground pipes for cleaning, and I want the slimes to do the cleaning."
Cain felt relieved knowing it was possible.
"Cain, you're thinking of something interesting. Outside the town, there are places to store dirty water, and they use wild slimes to clean it... but why go through the trouble of making them follow you?"
Tony looked confused and asked why it was necessary.
"When cleaning the entire town's dirty water, I think we'll need a lot of slimes, and it would be easier if someone is there to organize them. Also, just in case they start moving wildly, I thought it would be better to be able to control them."
Cain imagined slimes flying and jumping around in the big space he had recently made, cleaning the dirty water.

Nana - Tony's older sister in Tonga Village. The tamer of cowcowbull.
