Volume 3 Chapter 52 Which One Should I Choose?
Cain stood in front of the magic tools, deep in thought. He'd been debating for about 30 minutes, picking up each item, examining it, and putting it back. Each tool seemed useful in its own way, and he couldn't decide.
"Hmm, I guess it's the 'Mana Cauldron'? Ms. Merida, could I have this 'Mana Cauldron'?"
"Yes, it's the 'Mana Cauldron.' That will be 80 gold coins. I'll deliver it to your mansion."
Ms. Merida smiled gently and moved the cauldron to a reserved shelf behind the counter. She asked Barvish to handle the payment, then left the shop, saying, "I'll come again."
Since it was slightly past noon, they headed to the Baked Pasta shop they'd visited before. The delicious aroma of the familiar sauce filled the air. Barvish and Gardy, who were there for the first time, enjoyed their meals, saying, "Delicious, delicious."
After everyone finished eating and enjoyed some after-meal tea, Gardy asked Cain, "Why did you choose the 'Mana Cauldron'?"
"Well, I'm currently preparing bathwater using daily magic, but I'm looking for a more efficient method. Otherwise, I can't expand the bath, you know?"
Cain began explaining his reason for choosing the cauldron.
"Also, I think the 'Mana Cauldron' might let me do long-duration stewing too."
"Oh, that sounds like it could make delicious food!"
Gardy looked very happy, imagining the possibilities.
Afterward, they checked out 2 or 3 sites for tomorrow's work and returned to the mansion. There, the 'Mana Cauldron' they'd purchased had arrived. Cain quickly ran to his room and started analyzing it.
"Wow, this pot's made of plain iron, but the inside is coated with thin mithril and has Seal Magic engraved on it, huh. Huh──."
Cain rolled the cauldron on the table, turned it upside down, and used his Analysis glasses. He noticed the imprint was directly engraved on the iron, with mithril acting as the magic conduction medium.
"Hmm, if I use this method, I won't engrave directly on the mithril, so I can reduce the cost of magic tools. But this method is probably a company secret, huh? Oh, the heat conduction seems to come from patterns inside this Chinese-style bowl."
Cain muttered, taking notes on his analysis.
The cauldron's power source was a magic stone embedded in the handle. When the stone's mana ran out, it needed replacing. Heating water to 100 degrees in a curry pot-sized container used about 5 mana. The temperature had three settings: 60°C, 80°C, and 100°C.
"I want to try cloning it, but I don't have the materials... I guess I'll have to wait."
With Cobblestoneization work starting tomorrow, Cain knew prototyping would take time. He drew a schematic for the prototype and prepared for the next steps.

Ms. Merida slowly descended the staircase leading to the basement at the back of the shop. She opened the door at the end of the short corridor, calling out to the person inside.
"Zain, dinner's ready. Come upstairs, okay?"
"Ah, is it already that time? When I concentrate, time flies. I'll come now, Ms. Merida."
The man called Zain, who looked to be in his 30s, responded while turning toward the door. He twitched his long ears and, as if remembering something, stopped Ms. Merida.
"By the way, who came to the shop today? I felt incredible Mana. Was everything okay, Ms. Merida?"
"Today? Ah, Sir Cain came. He's a 7-year-old knight."
"Eh, 7 years old?! Phew, there really are monsters in this world. Scary, scary."
"Is Sir Cain scary? Don't say strange things──let's go upstairs quickly."
Ms. Merida, recalling Cain's figure, urged Zain to move, sighing, "Good grief."
'My name is Cain. I hope to meet you someday...'
