Volume 5 Chapter 20 Let's Go To Pick You Up 1️⃣1️⃣
Although Lydia didn't fully understand the situation, she sat beside Aisha. It was surprising to see calm Aisha panicking, but she was also trying to understand the woman in front of her. According to Cain's story, she should be a grandma around Aisha's age.
"Viscount Sanrozeess, nice to meet you. I'm Merida, Zain's partner. I'm very grateful for your son's great help during our visit to the World Tree Forest. Thank you very much."
Merida stood up from the sofa, introduced herself, and then bowed to show thanks.
"Yes. There's no need to worry; Cain did it thinking of all of you. More than that, Mother, what's going on here?"
After accepting thanks from Merida, Lydia asked Aisha about Merida, who was in front of her.
"Lydia, I just heard about this a moment ago, and I still can't fully get it. I want you to listen and respond together. Merida, can you please explain again what you just told us? I want to hear Lydia's opinion too."
Aisha calmed Lydia, who seemed about to panic, then asked Merida to explain again.
"Yes, Lady Aisha. About a month ago, thanks to Sir Cain's big help, I came here to the World Tree Forest. The chief's family and the elves welcomed me warmly, even though I'm human. Maybe it was the day after Sir Cain returned? Lady Salina, Zain's mom, gave me a fruit that looks like a peach called 'Sento'."
While explaining, Merida pointed to the fruits on the table. Two large fruits, looking like big peach-like Monmon fruits, were in clear containers on the table.
"This 'Sento' fruit is a gift from the World Tree. It was picked for the first time in over 150 years. The effect of 'Sento' is that, when eaten, it can make you up to 20 years younger."
""Ehh, ehhh──""
As Merida explained the effects of the 'Sento' fruit, Lydia and Lala shouted in surprise together. Lala quickly covered her mouth with her hand and apologized to Aisha and Lydia.
"According to Lady Salina, for elves, 20 years is just a moment. She smiled, wishing that Zain could spend a little more time with them. It was also said that when elves eat the 'Sentou' fruit, their mouths pop. Zain described it as a shock like the thunder spirit bursting in their mouths, and he said they wouldn't eat it willingly." Merida explained with a smile, recalling Zain's serious expression when he spoke. She added that the rejuvenating effect of the 'Sentou' fruit can only be obtained once, and if possible, it is better to eat a whole one to maximize the effect. She also explained that the effect can only be obtained if it is placed in a time-stopping container within 2 days of picking, or it will go bad.
After listening to Merida's explanation, Aisha and Lydia wore troubled faces as they began to talk quietly, so Merida wouldn't hear them.
"Mother, what should we do about this?"
"I want to eat it right away, but... I can't decide if it's right for us to eat something so special by ourselves."
"That's true. If we can't get it again, I think it's our duty as nobles to offer it to the royal family. However, if the effect lasts only 2 days, it will be gone by the time we can present it..."
While Aisha and Lydia exchanged opinions on whether to eat it themselves or not, Lala set down Aromatic Tea on the table and asked Merida a question.
"Um, Ms. Merida. Did this fruit just appear? And was the one that appeared a month ago on the day Sir Cain returned?"
Merida said yes to Lala's question.
"Lady Aisha, Lady Lydia. Maybe the reason this 'Sentou' fruit was produced is that Sir Cain supplied Mana to the World Tree? So, if Sir Cain continues to supply Mana, we might be able to get 'Sentou' fruit in the future?"
"Great, Lala."
Hearing Lala's idea, Aisha and Lydia said the problem was suddenly solved.
"Yes, it makes sense to think that the two 'Sentou' fruits produced today were because Cain supplied more Mana to the World Tree than last time."
"That's right. Since Cain will continue to supply Mana to the World Tree, we will be able to get 'Sentou' fruit. Then let's eat it right away."
Lydia and Aisha smiled as if a weight had been lifted from their hearts. They then had Lala cut the 'Sentou' fruit into pieces, and each ate one. By the way, when Lala was asked if she would eat some, she said, "I'll wait until I'm a bit older."

• Lydia - Cain's Stepmother.
• Aisha - Lydia's mother. Cain's step-grandmother.
• Merida - The owner or manager of the magic tool shop Cain frequents in Margrave Shield territory.
• Zain - A man in his 30s with long ears, possibly an elf or a similar race. He works in the basement of Ms. Merida's shop and is highly perceptive, noticing Cain's incredible mana from a distance.
• Salina - A high elf and Zain's mother, residing in the Forest of the World Tree. She appears around 20 years old in human terms despite being over 1000 years old.
• Lala - Cain's companion, likely a servant or minder, cautious and protective.
