"No. John, you're set to take over as the next hunter. Roberta, you're adopted into a baron's house and engaged. I can't take you. Stay and protect your homes."
She told the crying siblings they'd meet again someday.
"Fighting under you was the pride of our clan! I swear by the Suno ancestors, we will guard this land!"
With a loud shout and the stomp of boots, the Huskarls led by Erik answered her.
Eleonora shouted back to the Suno people.
"You who fought in Parisess with me—those days are also part of my record as a soldier! I'll lead you again in the next life!"
A cheer rose.
Good soldiers and good leaders trust each other more than family sometimes.
"Acting Knight, here's the armor and shield."
"And this is some travel money. I was going to give a painting, but it's too big."
Baron Vidilva put armor from the royal family and a baron's shield in the carriage.
Baron Poniète handed over a pouch stuffed with gems.
"I ask to part with you here."

The barons laughed and waved.
They clearly didn't believe Eleonora would die in Magelun.

Gustavo and Clarissa said that and held hands.
"Thanks to you two, my school days were fun. Take care of Lady Clarissa."

"We didn't talk much, but I don't think you deserve this."
Italy and Theodore said that and gave her a short sword and a pair of earrings.
"The sword was handed down to me... sorry."
"The earrings have magic. They'll get hot if danger gets close."
"Thank you. I'll use them well."
Yoash stepped forward and bowed deeply.
"Roberta, I'll make sure you're happy. I wanted you at the wedding, though."
"Yeah, if I don't make it, I'll send so many gifts the mansion overflows."
Vittoria and Cesare waved.
"See you soon!"
"Marshal! I'll gather soldiers again! Leave that to me! I'll take care of it!"
Eleonora waved back.
"Thank you! I want to come home fast!"
Just as she stepped toward the carriage, a soft shock hit her leg.
Amerigo was clinging to her, and her mother hugged her from behind.
"Be happy. If it gets too hard, come back, no matter what..."
"Big Sister, don't go!"
Hearing her last blood relatives, Eleonora clenched her fists, then hugged them tight.
"I'll come back. I promise. I've never broken a promise before...!"
She kissed their cheeks and lifted Amerigo up high.
"Starting today, this land is yours. That doesn't mean everything will go well. You'll face hard days, and you might want to quit. But I can't protect you anymore. Be strong, Amerigo. My brother."
She placed him in their mother's arms.
Silvia took the driver's seat on the carriage.
"I'll find whoever did this and thank them with my own hands."
With a sharp pull on the reins, Linker began to move.
The path lit by the morning sun—where would it take them?
"I picked a name. I can't be Silvia anymore."
"What name?"
At Eleonora's question, Silvia looked ahead toward the sun and answered:

• Vittoria - Daughter of the Grand Duke Casunat.
• Roberta - The girl selected as potential retainer; close in age to Eleonora and from the village.
• Robert - Robert de Rubero. The younger Rubero brother, around 10 years old. Despite his age, he is well-trained and sturdy. He suffered a sprained leg, which Johanna healed.
• John - A man who follows Eleonora, previously worked in security in Japan before being reincarnated. His connection to Eleonora is that he and his group have been following her to hunt and defeat bandits.
• Huskarls - Heavily armored warrior skilled in melee combat, fighting as a frontline defender, similar to a knight.
• Erik - Son of the fallen warrior Danruhav, seeking revenge and a new land, eager to prove his strength in battle.
• Poniète - Giovanni de Poniète. A baron and Kingdom Army commander with a quirky habit of relating everything to art and poetry.
• Clarissa - Daughter of the Marquis Avenetti. Gustavo's fiancé.

• Cesare - Vittoria's elder sibling, he is observant and recognizes Eleonora's potential and the reason Vittoria supports her.
• Linker - A large gray horse won by Eleonora in a tournament. He is friendly, enjoys apples, and is named by Eleonora. He will be kept at the academy for riding lessons.
• Johanna - Silvia's new name.
