Serena's POV
"So, this is Kohane... Hmm, I've always wanted to see it."
"Yes, Serena-sama, considering that Kohane was the last country where Ceres-sama and Shizuko-sama stayed, it's understandable that Serena-sama wanted to visit," Fleur replied.
"True! Hero Zect-sama also ruled this country," added Rosalia.
"Moreover, this place is known as the world's best summer resort," Elsa chimed in.
I often heard about this place from Dad. He said they used to have a great time here with the whole family. However, when it came to discussing this place, Mama Ishtas would get upset or look sad. So, whenever she wasn't around, we'd talk about it with excitement.
Though I felt a bit left out because I didn't understand what they were talking about.
"So, what should we do first? Go for some sashimi? Enjoy the hot springs? Or maybe go swimming?"
"Sounds good! I'm getting hungry, so let's start with a meal," Fleur suggested.
"Agreed," Rosalia nodded.
"Yeah, I'm hungry too, so that works! Besides, I rarely get to eat fresh fish like this, so Serena-sama, let's go eat!" Elsa exclaimed.
"That sounds great! What about you, Uncle Pope Romani? Uncle Edgar?"
"Everyone, you're free to do as you please. However, once you're done having fun, I think it would be best if we all gather at Kohane Castle," Pope Romani advised.
"Okay, understood. Also, I have something to discuss with Edgar Uncle, so we'll talk later, okay?"
"Serena-sama..." Edgar began.
"We'll talk later. Well then, we're off!"
"See you later!" Pope Romani and Edgar responded in unison.
We bid farewell to the people from the church, and now it's our free time.
But I've got a problem with Uncle Edgar. He seems to have talked to Uncle Pope about me. So, I'll have to talk to him later.
"This is what Dad was talking about—the Sashimi Funamori with sushi, huh? Hmm, it's delicious. I don't think I could make this."
"This grilled eel called unagi is quite unique and tasty as well," added Fleur.
"This chawanmushi is so elegant and delicious," Rosalia remarked.
"Even this tempura is delicious. Especially the shrimp!" Elsa exclaimed.
Dad was right. The freshness of the seafood makes all the difference. The village where Dad grew up didn't have access to the sea, so he was never good at making sushi. It's the same for Uncle Kazuma.
Both of them can cook Japanese dishes, but they admitted that it doesn't compare to the real thing.
Both of them said they could cook Japanese food, but it was not as good as the real thing.
Still, natto, nori rolls, miso soup, tempura, grilled fish, and dried fish were tasty enough... but the real thing, well, it's different.
"I guess even Serena-sama can't make all of these?" Fleur asked.
"I can make tempura and grilled eel, but I can't make everything this delicious. Making sashimi or sushi requires fresh seafood, which I didn't have access to. I could make pressed sushi with freshwater fish, though."
"That's still amazing!" Elsa complimented.
"I agree, not being able to make everything doesn't diminish your skills," Rosalia chimed in.
"I appreciate your kind words. While I can't make everything this delicious, I'll challenge myself to make more Japanese dishes next time."
"As a woman, I feel a bit embarrassed to ask, but please do!" Fleur requested.
"I'm looking forward to it!" Rosalia said.
"I'd love it if someone could make a good rice bowl for me," Elsa added.
"Alright, then next time, I'll do my best to make a delicious rice bowl. Now that we're full, what should we do next?"
From what I heard from Dad and the others, this place offers hot springs, beach activities, and pools. I remember that Lida-nee-chan said fishing was fun too.
"Well, I'd like to try the luxurious cruise on Lake Ude for now," Fleur suggested.
"I'd like to go to the Royal Kohane Four Seasons Hawaiian Platinum Hotel's spa resort," Rosalia said.
"I'm good with anything as long as I can eat something delicious. I'll leave it to you!" Elsa declared.
If we go to the spa resort now, it will take up most of our day, so it might be better to go tomorrow and enjoy it to the fullest.
"In that case, let's go for the cruise today. We can visit the spa tomorrow and have a relaxing time there. Speaking of delicious food, there's Lake Ude's specialty—Wakasagi fish, wild boar hot pot, and more. Well, this information might be a bit outdated."
"Thank you for the suggestion. I'm looking forward to the cruise!" Fleur replied.
"Spa resorts are better enjoyed at a leisurely pace," Rosalia agreed.
"I wonder if Wakasagi fish is delicious. I'm looking forward to it," Elsa said.
"While I might not be able to make everything perfectly, I'll give it my best shot!" Guide Uncle assured.
"Now that it's decided, Uncle, it's my treat!"
"Hahaha! I can't accept payment from the King. It's on the house!" Guide Uncle chuckled.

"Yes, Edgar-sama was going around showing a letter of recommendation from the Pope and a sketch of your face, saying, 'The great alliance leader Serena-sama.' It's definitely Serena-sama, right?" Guide Uncle asked.
"I see... Well then, I'll accept your offer. Thank you."
"I'm most honored," Guide Uncle replied.
I'll definitely have to talk to Edgar Uncle properly later.
