I registered with Shizuko-san as a party member, but for now, I've decided to let her be a full-time housewife. I know she's an A-rank expert, but I'm enjoying this cohabitation, so why not?
Last night, when I asked her about it, Shizuko-san mentioned that she used to be an adventurer with Haruka-nee, Misaki-san, and Sayo-san. She was quite a skilled adventurer, but because she was in an all-female party, strange men often approached them. She said she took care of them one by one.
But then, after reaching a certain age, no one approached them anymore. So, they quit being an adventurer, became a normal town girls, traveled around, and eventually settled in Jimna Village, where they got married and became a villagers.
I don't understand how such a skilled adventurer ended up as a sl*ve. Even Uncle Sector is just a villager. When I asked her, she said she was drugged when she let her guard down.
As she talked about it, something dark seemed to be emerging from her past. Maybe it's best to leave this topic here.
But then, I'm so sleepy...
It's not like we did anything special.
We just slept in the same room.
Shizuko-san is my sl*ve, so if I ask, she'd probably do "those things" too. But, it's not the same as being in a romantic relationship. So, I decided to endure this frustration for a while longer.
I'm a reincarnated person with memories from my past life. Because of that, people like Lida, Maria, and Mel look like children to me. They may be adults in this world, but they're still minors from my previous life. It just feels wrong to get involved with them.
However, Shizuko-san is a perfect match for me. She's mature and incredibly cute for an adult. She reminds me of the beautiful "widow manager" from my previous life. But, even someone as beautiful as her is considered an "old lady" in this world. It's a waste that the men in this world don't seem to appreciate her value.
"Alright, Ceres-sama, we have a lot of good requests... which one would you like to start with?"
The receptionist, Miss Sally, is quite enthusiastic.
Yesterday, when I visited the guild, I left her the choice of good requests that would earn money. After all, my first love, Shizuko-san, who I fell in love with after reincarnating into this world, is waiting for me at home...
I should do my best.
By the way, maybe the receptionist trying to make amends for calling Shizuko-san an "old person," but she's treating me with a big smile. She occasionally looks a bit strained, though.

I decided to accept a request to subdue an Earth Dragon.
"Suddenly, a dragon!"
Well, that's bound to be a surprise. Earth Dragons are real dragons, unlike Wyverns, which are dragon-like but not true dragons. Among dragon species, they're considered weaker, but they're usually hunted by knight orders or parties of at least 20 adventurers of B-rank or higher.
"Well, I'll manage somehow."
"As expected of an S-class... well, S-class people are already beyond the human category, so I won't say anything, go ahead!"
"Okay, I'm off then."
"Okay, have a good trip."
I arrived at the location where the Earth Dragon was, and I ate the bento Shizuko-san prepared for me. It's delicious. Although I can cook as well, my dishes are what you'd call "children's meals" from my past life—curry-like things and pretend hamburgers.
I'm not particularly good with simmered dishes, so I truly appreciate how tasty it is. Home-cooked meals are really something special.
"I just hunted two earth dragons, please evaluate them for me."

For an S-rank like me, this isn't a challenging request. When I tried to take the Earth Dragons out of my storage bag, Miss Sally stopped me midway.
"Wait! You can't take out such a big thing here, please take it out at the warehouse, the warehouse! I'll call Guild Master right away."
This is where being an S-rank adventurer comes in handy. I can get top priority treatment for anything.

I went to the warehouse and took out the two Earth Dragons.
"Oh, Ceres-sama, I can't get the other ones out this way, can you move them to the side a little bit?"
"Sure."
Reluctantly, I shifted the Earth Dragons to the side since they occupied about half of the warehouse. It was indeed getting in the way, so I followed the instructions and moved them as requested.
"Ceres-sama, I've heard about you, you're a great earth dragon hunter... Oh, wait, this isn't an earth dragon!"
"Don't tell me you're not going to bargain for the price by saying it's not a dragon?"
"No, the smaller one is an earth dragon but the big one three times the size of the smaller one is a rock dragon, an earth dragon that grew up to become a higher species, and I'm wondering how you managed to hunt it."
"Well, I jumped on it, slashed its legs with a *snap* and jumped on its neck and it died."
"Why do you always use onomatopoeia, Ceres-sama?"

It's just that explaining it all is bothersome, so this should suffice.
"So, the smaller earth dragon will be paid in gold for 1,000 gold pieces, but the rock dragon will have to wait a bit longer."
"I don't mind, but why?"
"I think the royal family will probably buy the head and bones for about 3,000 gold coins, and the rest of the materials will be auctioned off, so it will take about a week to make the money, is that alright?"

I set a budget of 10 gold coins because in this world, there's no limit to the price of gemstones, and there are items more expensive than castles. Moreover, if I bought something too expensive, Shizuko-san would probably hesitate to accept it.
"Yes, how about this green stone one? It is a one-of-a-kind piece, no two are alike, and the engraving is very elaborate."
"Then I'll take that one, please, and put a ribbon on the box."
"Thank you very much."
After leaving the jewelry store, I bought 30 roses from a flower shop. Maybe I should also get a cake...
