This happened not too long ago.
I lived in a village called Jimna with my husband, Sector, and our son, Zect.
While my husband could be a bit arrogant at times, deep down, he was a diligent man. And our son, Zect, despite being a bit cheeky, well, he was just an ordinary boy. We led a simple and peaceful life.
My husband, Sector, was a bit of a wanderer and loved his alcohol, but he was an ordinary husband in every sense.
As for our son, he may have been a bit of a womanizer, but... well, he was normal!
Zect, our son, was fifteen years old. In this world, when you turn fifteen, you undergo an adult ceremony, receive a job, and become an adult.
My husband, Sector, and I had ordinary jobs, like hunters or farmers, or something along those lines. But...
The job our son Zect received during the adult ceremony was "Hero." Moreover, the other three jobs (Saint, Sword Saint, Sage) were all chosen from Jimna Village as well, and the village was in a festive uproar.
With our son Zect at the center, the three chosen ones, Lida-chan, Maria-chan, and Mel-chan, are forming a party and going to the royal castle to greet the king before embarking on a journey to defeat the Demon King.
As a mother, I was very worried, but Ceres-kun, who is a responsible young man, will be accompanying them, which puts my mind at ease.
Ceres-kun is Zect's friend, but he's remarkably mature for his age. He's also strangely kind to women of my age, including me, calling us "aunties."
"Shizuko-san, you can rest assured. I've been asked by the village head to accompany them on their journey."
Well, if Ceres-kun is with them, I feel much better.
The day of their departure has finally arrived.

I know it's wrong to compare, but Ceres-kun is such a good kid. In contrast, Zect doesn't even say goodbye to his mother... honestly.
