Volume 1 Chapter 70 Nakagaito Wanted To Study Together, So We Decided To Study At The Library
Well, I ended up listening to embarrassing childhood stories from my cousin and childhood friend at the Lalaport sweets paradise, but it seems like they became close. I guess that's a good thing.
After enjoying all-you-can-eat sweets and drinks at the sweets paradise, we headed back home.
On the train ride back, I checked my phone and saw a message from Nakagaito.
[Hey, can you teach me somewhere during Golden Week?]
Hmm, I can't just keep playing around all the time, so this might be a good opportunity.
[Sure, I'm free in the afternoons except for Sundays. When do you want to do it?]
[How about tomorrow afternoon?]
[Okay, where should we study? I think the Funabashi City Library or the Narashino City Central Library would be good.]
[Let's go to the Narashino City Central Library.]
[Okay, how about meeting at the Tsunaduma Station ticket gate at 10:15? We can grab a light bite to eat before going to the library.]

So, tomorrow afternoon I have a study session with Nakagaito at the library.
"Oh, Fumi-chan. After I finish my part-time job at the patisserie tomorrow, I will study with my classmates at the Narashino City Library, so I won't need lunch."
"Huh?"
"Sorry. Instead, tomorrow I will wear the outfit Fumi-chan selected for me."
When I said that, Fumi-chan seemed to feel better somehow.
"Hehe, alright then, I will forgive you."
While saying these things, I prepared study questions for Nakagaito, and Monday ended with the anticipation of the next day.
Today, as usual, I skipped breakfast, got ready for the patisserie's opening at 7 AM, and handed over to Kashiyama-san at 10 AM.
Then, I went to the ticket gate at Tsunaduma Station.
When I reached the gate, Nakagaito was already waiting.

"Another new girl?"

So, we walked to Mugita Coffee.
"Hello. How many people?"
"Two."
"Follow me."
We were shown to our seats.
"Oh, by the way, this place is sometimes called a "reverse photo fraud," so if it’s too much, you should just leave it alone." (T/N: the portion is bigger than the menu photo)
"Is that so? Actually, it's my first time here."
"In that case, it's probably a good idea to either order a small sandwich or, when getting a drink, go for the morning set with toast and boiled eggs at no extra cost."
"Uh, okay, then... I'll try the morning set."
"I want a yummy egg pizza toast."
I decided and quickly ordered it. After a while, they brought the real thing to me.
"The morning one is simple, with just enough toast, but..."
Surprisingly, the free toast that comes with it is bigger than shown in the picture on the menu...
"There are so many eggs on the egg pizza toast."
Seriously, there are two slices of bread stacked with a lot of egg paste in between. And there's an unbelievable amount of cheese and pizza toppings on top of that.
Even though the menu says it's full of ingredients and has a large portion, it's not an exaggeration – seriously, it's unbelievable.
"Well, let's eat."
"Uh, yeah."
"Oh, if it looks like too much, don't force yourself to eat it. It's okay to leave some."
"Yeah, you're right."
So, I enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Mugita Coffee, but it seems the toast was a bit too big for Nakagaito.
"Ugh, I'm already full."
"Was it too much for a girl?"
"Yeah, it really was."
Well, I already ate about half of it, but even the pictures on the menu are only half there to begin with.
After having Mugita Coffee, we walked to Keisei Tsunaduma station and then took a train to Keisei Okubo station.
From there, we walked to Narashino City Central Library.
"Alright, let's try solving the practice problems for the upcoming midterm exams in the five main subjects."
If she can get 60 points or more in all subjects, she'll move on to the next stage. And if there are any subjects where she score below 60 points, she would focus on reviewing those.
"Uh, okay."
While Nakagaito works on the test problems, I continue with my own studying.
"Hmm."
Nakagaito hums and fills in the answers with a pencil.
Then I start checking the subjects that are done.
"Oh, you're doing pretty well."
It seems like she can get around 70 points in all subjects, despite some ups and downs.
Well, in reality, the five main subjects are actually divided into two subjects each, so it should be double the amount. But this should be fine.
"It seems like you're doing much better than I expected."
"Oh, I see. That's good."
Nakagaito said, feeling relieved.
"If you can handle things like this, you probably didn't need to study with me during the break."
"Stupid, it's just that recently, more people are joining the study sessions, so I was a bit worried."
"Oh, I see. Is it difficult with a larger group?"
"Well, it's not exactly like that... but if I can't score at least 60 points, there won't be a date."

Anyway, Nakagaito's preparation for the exams seems to be going well. It's good that there's not much worry about keeping up with classes even if we enters high school successfully.
