Chapter 33 Tricked By Senior
"Nothing," Li Xia awkwardly chuckled, casually picking up a broom and starting the second round of cleaning. It was already opening time, but there was still some time before customers would come to the store.
Being alone with Fujino now made him feel indescribably awkward.
"Such a liar~" Fujino showed no regard for his embarrassed expression, tilting her head and looking at Li Xia with a meaningful smile. "Li Jun always sneaks a peek at my chest, but today he hasn't even once."
Li Xia stumbled with the broom, forced a bitter smile, and turned his head. Fujino was leaning her chest on the table, with both hands palm up and resting her chin on them.
"Senior, please don't make baseless accusations."
Li Xia admitted that Fujino's chest was indeed large, but he wasn't fixated on it. It was just that because it was so big, his gaze naturally fell on the more prominent object when he looked over. It was a visual instinct and had nothing to do with personal preference.
"If it were Li Jun, then maybe," Fujino's eyes curved like crescent moons, her voice soft like a girl in love, afraid to speak too loudly but gathering the courage to say embarrassing words.
Li Xia's body stiffened, and as he turned around, he was met with a seemingly innocent smile on her face, accompanied by a hint of the typical shyness of a young girl. Her gaze seemed so soft that it could almost drip like water.
A few days ago, Li Xia would have gladly accepted, but after the incident with the ghouls, he knew that Senior Fujino was far from being just a pretty face with no depth. "What do you want, Senior? Just say it directly, we are friends after all," Li Xia couldn't brush this off and chose to confront the situation head-on. They had been together for several months, and if she intended to harm him, she would have done so long ago, without waiting until today.
"Anything goes, right?" Fujino said, standing upright, with two fingers placed on her chest. In the eerie gaze of Li Xia, she undid one button on her chest.
The work clothes instantly spread open to the sides, as only the middle button was undone, creating the illusion of a large hole in the middle of the work clothes.
Li Xia could clearly see the white lace bra beneath the work uniform, and even whiter cleavage.
"Senior, you..." Li Xia hurried to step back, this unfolding situation caught him off guard, instinctively wanting to retreat.
But Fujino gave him a mysterious smile, then crouched down completely.
"Click." The sound of the café door opening echoed, two mature women in office lady uniforms walked in. They were single white-collar workers nearby, stopping by for a coffee and some pastries as dinner after work.
"Hi, handsome~" The red-haired office lady walked straight over, greeting Li Xia before reaching the counter. "I'll have the salad set, sweetie."
"Sure... sure thing..." Li Xia's smile was stiff, feeling a nervousness he had never experienced before. Afraid she might come directly over, he quickly said, "Please have a seat first, I'll bring it over to you right away."
"Oh, where's that busty girl?" The other office lady looked around, then strutted over to the counter in her high heels.
Li Xia froze, unable to see from this angle. If she came closer, she might catch a glimpse underneath the counter. So, he quickly placed his hand under the counter to signal Fujino, but immediately felt something warm and sticky beneath his fingers.
His finger was bitten by Fujino, who was lightly nibbling on it with her teeth. It didn't hurt, but it was a bit itchy.
"Hey, don't take the opportunity to flirt with the little boy. Look at how nervous he is," shouted the red-haired OL colleague from her seat, winking at Li Xia.
"Tsk." The other OL shrugged her shoulders and threw a seductive glance at Li Xia before turning back to her original position.
Li Xia had just breathed a sigh of relief when he felt a strange sensation. After about three minutes, his senior stood up from behind the counter, facing away from the two customers who had just come over, so he didn't have to worry about being seen directly.
"Here." Li Xia's face turned slightly red as he handed over a tissue, although she usually considered herself experienced, it was clear that doing something like this in public was still a bit too bold.
"Thank you~" Fujino tilted her head and smiled beautifully, but she didn't take the tissue. Instead, she used two fingers to fasten the buttons on her chest.
Li Xia watched as the exposed flesh disappeared, turning into the pristine white of her work uniform, and then looked at Fujino with a complex gaze.
"This is our little secret," Fujino said, as she tidied up under the counter with her usual sweet smile. "Li Jun, you'll keep it a secret for me too, won't you?"
"Mm," Li Xia nodded, his gaze at his senior becoming more complex. He knew exactly what she meant by 'secret'. Evidently, Li Xia had guessed that she had already guessed that he had some issue, and had some evidence in hand.
Indeed, his senior sweet act was just a façade, at least when it came to dealing with him. Given their current relationship, Fujino couldn't bring herself to act against him.
"My house still isn't fixed," Fujino whispered to Li Xia, leaning in close to his ear. "I'll have to trouble you to stay a bit longer, Li Jun."
"Uh, well..." Before Li Xia could say anything, Fujino had already carried a salad out from behind the counter and, as usual, bounced away to serve the two customers.
From then on, Fujino completely resumed her usual self, chatting cheerfully with him about some gossip she had heard from who knows where.
And when there's a chance to slack off, she leans her chest against the counter, eagerly watching the TV program in the center of the coffee shop.
If Li Xia hadn't noticed some hardened white marks on her uniform from her chest, he would have thought that everything that happened before was just a dream.
Seeing that Fujino wanted to interact as usual, Li Xia was happy to go along.
The two of them worked as usual, quickly returning to their usual way of getting along, without the initial awkwardness.
There weren't many customers in the coffee shop. Li Xia stood behind the counter and chatted with her half-heartedly, until the clock on the wall reached nine o'clock.
But, the coffee shop door was pushed open, and a woman walked in wearing high heels. Li Xia immediately put on a professional smile and greeted her at the door, saying, "Welcome... Come on in."
After seeing who it was, Li Xia's eyelid twitched. He didn't expect Kirigiri Shimizu to come here, and she was wearing a mature outfit that didn't quite match her temperament.
