Volume 10 Chapter 3 The Mega-Sized Parfait
I went into a cafe with Nina and Mary.
"This place has amazing sweets, you know."
Nina said happily.
Mary smirked and said,
"Yeah, Nina used to come here every day for a while."
"Well, not every day. Maybe like six days a week."
"Hey, that's practically every day..."
I couldn't help but interject.
"Hehe, it's really delicious, you know. I want Rain-san to try it too."
"Oh, look, Nina. Today is the day for the 'Ultimate Super Delicious Mega-Sized Parfait'."
"Huh, 'mega-sized'? They only sell that once or twice a month, right?"
"Yup, it seems like today is that day. The selling days are completely random, and today is our lucky day!"
"Yay!"
Both of them cheered.
And so, the three of us, including me, decided to order the 'mega-sized parfait' and--
""It's here!""
Nina and Mary cheered even louder as it was brought in.
They were so excited.
They must be really happy.
"...Wait, is this it?"
Various fruits such as strawberries, oranges, and kiwis are piled up like a tower.
On top of that, there is a generously topped whipped cream and sponge cake; it's a huge parfait with an incredible impact.
"Here, Nina. Say 'ahhh,' okay?"
Mary winked at Nina.
"Huh?"
"Huh?"
"Say 'ahhh,' to Rain-san."
Mary repeated.
"Well, even if you suddenly ask me like that..."
"Go for it, Nina!"
"Okay, I'll do my best."
For some reason, the two exchanged glances.
"Nina...?"
"I'm going, Rain-san..."
Nina looked at me with a serious gaze and held up her spoon.
It was as if she had the spirit of a seasoned adventurer.
"Uh, um..."
I felt a sudden pressure.
"A, a, ahh......n"
Nina cautiously scooped up the part with whipped cream using a spoon.
Her hand was trembling, maybe because she was nervous.
"Do your best, Nina!"
Mary was cheering by her side.
...This situation is a bit difficult to refuse.
It seems better to just obediently say 'ahh' and eat.
It's a bit embarrassing though...
