Chapter 89 Results At Watterhill'S

Great•Healthy•Battle. I can do it if I try. Now, I surpassed 200 people. As a result, Kumei-san at the reception collapsed from fatigue (plop). I quickly cast 'Recover (Healing Spell),' but she looked at me with resentful eyes.

By the way, we decided to add an assistant or helper to Kumei-san at the reception. I was surprised by who they chose. It's a member of her family, Rosalier-san's cousin, Niarvarma-san. Of course, she's older than me.

Actually, when Brigitte-san came for lunch, it seems she talked to Privia-san. At that time, Privia-san immediately checked if there was anyone available to help. And it seems someone will start coming from tomorrow.

Basically, the newbie job is to guide people getting treatment in the hall for a while. While I'm at Daioraden, the guild will teach them the reception work.

So, today, after doing reception work, Kumei-san had to go to the hall to guide people and then come back to reception. As a result, there were too many people waiting in the hall, and it was getting really crowded. So I suggested using the method we used at Daioraden, with those five chairs.

But then things got even tougher. Kumei-san couldn't move at lunchtime and again in the evening. Privia-san laughed and said, "What's wrong? You're young but so lazy," but I think it was actually pretty tough. As expected, Kumei-san raised her voice. It seems like she talked to Brigitte-san right after that.

Watterhill is supposed to have 3000 more people than Daioraden according to simple calculations. So, you know what that means? There should be a lot more adventurers too. Handling reception almost alone in that situation... I wondered if the Wolf-human Tribe's stamina was endless, but it turns out it does have its limits. Even though I was using "Recover" on her physically, it seems like it was still pretty tough mentally.

Usually, when Kumei-san takes a break, the people from the office take turns at the reception, like three shifts or something. But starting from tomorrow, there will be one more person, so it should reduce the burden for both Kumei-san and the office staff, I guess.

 "Sorry, Kumei-san."

"No, it was my fault. I think it'll be fine starting from tomorrow."

 "Yeah, anyway, good job."

 "Yes, take care."

After leaving the guild, I went to the Black Forest Human tribe's dormitory. It's a single room on the second floor. Corbett-san and the others are using the room at the very back as a temporary workshop.

"Thank you for your hard work. How's it going?"

"Oyakata-sama, thank you for your hard work."

"It's fine, so you don't have to stop working."

Corbett-san was making a big funnel out of a glass bottle. By sealing the bottom, water can be collected without flowing out. So, he was carving a magic circle inside to detoxify it, or something like that.

I decided to explain a simple principle that I know by pointing to the top and bottom of a simple diagram I drew yesterday. This is a tank for drinking water that is used outdoors and is something that most people unconsciously use. It's like when you open this side, water comes out.

"If the top is sealed, water won't flow even if the bottom isn't plugged. But if you create a pressure release valve on the top, when it's opened, water should flow."

I drilled a hole in the bottom of a water bottle made of a material similar to bamboo, the cheapest one, and I filled it with water and closed the top with my hand while explaining.

"I see, so it's possible with such a simple method."

"Yeah, that's right. By the way, when do you think the detoxification part will be ready?"

"I should have a prototype by tomorrow evening."

"Are you sure it's not too rushed?"

"At this level, I have plenty of time."

"I see. Oh, by the way, if I mention this to Privia-san, she said she's 'expecting' it."

"Oh, really? I have to do my best then."

"Don't push yourself too hard. No one will praise you for overdoing it."

"Of course. But it feels good to be expected, you know."

"I can understand that. I'll come by again tomorrow evening."

"Yes, I should be able to show you some progress by tomorrow."

"Okay. Take care and good job."

"Thank you. Please take care too, Oyakata-sama."

I said hello to Brigitte-san as I passed by, and left the dormitory.

I stopped by the stables on my way home. After exchanging greetings with the hard-working Orvitta-san, I approached Centrena, when I heard a voice.

 "I-is this place okay?"

 'Kuu'

 "Here too?"

 'Kuu'

When I wondered what she was doing, Rosalier-san was brushing Centrena's wings. I thought I heard some strange exchange. I never thought that in this world I would hear something like, "I-is this place okay?"

When I met Rosalier-san for the third time, did she also say "dead tired (くっころ)" in a roundabout way? I remembered it and thought that something like that had happened, and I almost laughed.

"Thank you for your hard work."

"Thank you for your hard work, Tatsuma-sama."

 'Kuuu.'

I'd give Centrena a big hug around her neck and pat her head. Didn't need to climb over the fence, it was off to the side, like a path right through the middle.

"Alright, have you been a good girl?"

 'Kuuu.'

 "Rosalier-san."

 "What is it?"

"Privia-san spilled the beans. She said Centrena and Alesion understand human language well."

 "I thought so."

 'Kuu'

Oh, I almost forgot. I went over to the neighboring stable and hopped over the fence to get to Alesion.

"Alesion, good job! Privia-san was surprised."

 'Guu'

"Oh? Rosalier-san, did you brush Alesion too?"

 "Yes. It's no trouble."

 "That's good."

 'Guu'

The entrance of the stable, the name is carved on the top of the fence. Alesion is spelled 'ヲン (on)' not 'オン(won)'. It feels like a cool name, like a spaceship from an old anime. Don't you think?

 "Did Privia-san decide your names?"

 'Guuu'

 "Really? That person is amazing..."

 'Guh?'

It would be amazing if this naming was natural, and if it was someone like us who came from over there, it might have been a very deep person. I'm grateful to the people who told me so much.

After dinner, it's time to drink tea and relax. Rosalier-san also came back from washing up and since it was a good time, I turned on my smartphone.

It would be easier if I could exchange messages using a mysterious system called "Display Self-Status" without having to turn on my smartphones. Anyway, as I was looking at the screen, I heard a notification sound.

 'Pekon'

 'How'

Maya-chan... 'Yes, yes. I have a report to report, do you have time?' And, sent.

 'Ring-ring, ring-ring, ring-ring'

 She started calling right away.

 'Hey, hey, guess what!'

 "Yeah, yeah, good evening."

 "Good evening, Maya-san."

'So, you know, the battery, when you put it in and take it out, it charges in an instant, you know!'

 "What the heck is that?"

So, if I put my phone back in the inventory, it charges the power in an instan? What's up with that? What is this mysterious system again?

'You must be surprised, right? Maya was also surprised... So, Uncle Tatsuma, what's up?'

Oh, this kid is more mature than her age. She has walked firmly, even though she should have had a harder time than others, without breaking.
