Chapter 171 Like A Destruction Job
Next morning, we're back at Centrena and Alesion's stables for the first time in a while. There's Diemirena-san, feeding breakfast to the duo.
"Maya-sama, good morning! So, Berberiguru my cousin is also on your team now, huh?"
"That's right. I was just muttering to Jam-san like, 'wouldn't it be cool if,' and it happened!"

Alright, so, here's the plan for today: I'm gonna sneak into Wareels solo. Of course, Berberiguru-san, disguised as a human guy instead of Maya-chan, will be my coachman.
After double-checking everything's set, me and Maya-chan will communicate, then Rosalier-san will fly in on Centrena, and Maya-chan will hop on Alesion. After that, the operation begins.
It looks like it's going to be a quiet operation, but basically like sabotage stuff. You'll get it when we do it, but it's gonna be pretty intense.
"We can stop here. Thank you."
"Good luck to you."
"It's amazing how that's known here."

"Never mind, it's nothing."
I had Berberiguru-san take the carriage back where it could be seen from the gate. I was going to return to Centrena anyway. I couldn't just leave the carriage there.
I was told the right gate was for newcomers and the left was for re-entries. I took out my pass from my inventory and got in the left line. It moved smoothly, and soon it was my turn.
After showing my pass, I was allowed in without any issues. I shouldn't complain about the lack of events. Just because there's no event doesn't mean there should be complaints.
I had a dummy backpack on my back. I followed yesterday's route. It didn't feel like I was drawing attention. They must have taken care of any scent issues.
Rena-san knew about it too, not just Berberi-san. They both used a scent on me, something like odorless water. It's a secret recipe from Berberi-san's family, from their ninja lineage. Not that they're actual ninjas.
Now, I walked along a road that looked like the town of Ensgard. Since they used to be part of the same country, it's not surprising they look similar.
The middle of the road is for carriages, and there are paths on both sides for people to walk. The paths are slightly lower than the middle, with a bit of a step down. It's a concept opposite to our world where the sidewalks are higher. Both Swiglefen and Watterhill have the same kind of setup.
The roads are just compacted dirt. After that, cobblestones are laid down in the city, while nicer stones are used around the royal castle, which is common in all countries. In the middle of the town, they make the roads with a slope for drainage. Without this, heavy rain would turn the roads into rivers.
I think the difference between a village and a town lies in whether they invest in their roads. It was like that in my original world too.
As we pass by Dog-Human people, they're all fluffy. They've got ears and tails, you know. But that doesn't make me want to pet them. I guess I'm not a fluff enthusiast like Maya-chan.
Though, Centrena's feathers feel really nice. They're endlessly soft to the touch.
But looking around, most people passing by are wearing gloves. Does it hurt when they touch? Even in Ensgard, people pre-treatment and with minor injuries wear gloves too. Maybe it's because it doesn't look too good.
This time, we're moving discreetly, so we can't just fly into Centrena from above. That's why I'm here, getting off the carriage and walking towards Geneus-san's mansion. Still, we're asking a lot from them. We're asking them to give up their homes and their way of life.
I arrived more smoothly than I thought because I remembered the route. I didn't stop to shop along the way. I made sure to approach from the back because I'm a merchant. The maid from yesterday greeted me with a smile.

Did this guy get healed too? Oh yeah, I didn't get those 'ten copper coins' this time. I guess it's part of the sabotage. Messing with Wareels, that's the plan. Mother said we'll collect it all later.
I was led to the guest room. Everyone stood up to greet me. It's Geneus-san and his wife, and Madam Viscount, Regilade-san. Wow, she is beaming. Probably she had a good bath and some liquor, for sure.

Regilade-san tried to greet me in a kneeling manner, so I stopped her. It's okay.
