Chapter 181 My New Office
I was surprised. It was something important, so I was surprised twice. It seems that Centrena and Alesion have a concept of leveling up or evolving in a way. The results are clearly strange.
"Wow, we arrived in half a day. There were no issues with the airflow, right?"
*groan*
"When we flew from Watterhill to Ensgard, it was difficult to fly, but it's not the case here, right?"

That's something I can't grasp. It must be something only visible through Maya-chan's appraisal skill. Looks-wise, they're still the same, like black roosters from afar. Alesion is also a white rooster. Their faces have a dignified, dragon-like vibe, even though they don't have beaks.

After dropping us off, both Centrena and Alesion take off. Alesion probably went to his own stable, while Centrena went back to our mansion since she has one there too. Centrena sometimes eats at the stable, so maybe she's going there too.
I opened the door on the rooftop. There's a corridor that feels familiar, and when I go down the stairs, I see a grand door. Opening it, I can immediately recognize Mother's scent. It's like the fragrant oil she likes to use. It's a light scent, but it's comforting.
"Hey there, Head Manager, why don't you have a seat?"
Maya-chan suggested in a friendly manner.
"Sure, sure."
I sat on the chair at mother's desk. Wow, it's too big.
"Hahaha. It's like a child sitting in their parent's chair."
"I know, sorry, but could you call Corbett-san for me?"
"Sure thing, I'll go get him."
Maya-chan saluted and left the room. Just as she left, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in, right?"
'Yes, excuse me. Hehehe.'
Entering the room was the receptionist, Niavarma-san, who is Rosalier-san's cousin. They really look alike.
"I have brought some words of celebration and tea for you, Head Manager, on your recent promotion."
"It's temporary, though."
"Always so humble. Head Manager, Oyakata-sama, Tatsuma-sama, how may I assist you?"
"Um, the first one here is fine. The rest is up to you."
"Okay, then, head manager Tatsuma."
"Yes."
She made a nice-smelling tea.
Niavarma-san is not wearing gloves. Oh, right.
"Can I see your hands for a moment?"
"Yes, go ahead."
She put both hands out in front of me... Hm, I can hardly see anything. But if I look closely, there might be something there? It must be the effect of the Water Server-style Magic Tool.

Lined up on the desk were two Attribute Display Assist Magic Tools and an unused Hifumicho. While looking at them, there was a knock.
'Corbett is here.'
"You can come in."
"Excuse me."
"I'm back."
Corbett-san and Maya-chan entered the room. I had a Magic Tool with me and moved to the sofa.
"Congratulations on becoming the head manager."
"I'm just filling in for someone."
"Please be humble."
"You're just like Niavarma-san saying that."
"Haha, that's just the way he is, big brother."
"Maya-chan."
"Yes?"
"Experience points."
"Oh, Corbett-san, can I borrow your hand?"
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Let's see, 'Holy Purification Spell.' Delicious."
The spell name is still quite long.
"I'm sorry."

"Oh, this is a 'Attribute Display Assist Magic Tool' from the guild. Remember it?"
"Yeah. I used it when I first came here, not a good memory."

This is a Magic Tool the size of a Japanese White-eye bird. Maya-chan might be seeing it for the first time.

"Head manager Tatsuma, it's a Magic Tool that extracts and displays attribute information, and a legendary Magic Tool that attracts each other. Perhaps it's similar to the 'smartphone' Magic Tool that I was hearing about."

"Yes. And are you planning on having some sort of communication via text?"
"Wow, that's amazing, Corbett-san. Maya figured it out because she's using it, but can you understand it without knowing?"

"Hey, so, I was thinking, could you analyze this pair of matching magic circles and maybe make it so these stone tablets can communicate just between themselves?"
"Another interesting request! Shall I start analyzing it right away, starting tonight?"
"Yeah, just don't push yourself too hard, Corbett-san."
"But it's such an fascinating Magic Tool development project that it's almost a shame to sleep, isn't it?"
"I get it."
"Seriously, it's like the thinking of a mad scientist, huh?"
"Haha."
"I may not understand the words, but I'm honored by your praise, Maya-sama."
"Haha."
"So, Maya-chan, how many of those Magic Tools did you get?"
"Um, a hundred?"
"Seriously?"
"Yes. It saved me because I was having trouble finding a place to put them, big brother."
"Well, isn't that something?"
And so, I ended up asking for an analysis to figure out how to turn the Attribute Display Assist Magic Tool, which seems to be powered like the 'Display Self-Status Mystery System,' into a communication device of some sort.
