Volume 10 Chapter 43 To The Witch Of The Red Moon

Volume 10 Chapter 43 To The Witch Of The Red Moon

Riding on Mer-Mer's back, we took off towards the red moon.

Their back looked like a silver meadow, and when Sir Ciel chanted "transparent barrier," a clear membrane appeared, wrapping around us.

As we soared into the sky from the palace courtyard, monsters suddenly attacked us all at once.

Med's tail swung down, knocking the monsters away, and when Nel-Nel spread her arms wide, many black, bee-like creatures appeared around her, entangling the monsters.

 "Go, Lydia!"

Mr. Lucian raced through the sky on Fafnir, guarding us.

Flames wrapped around Mr. Lucian's sword as he slashed through the monsters with one eye, a large mouth, and wings.

"Your Majesty, Ms. Lydia, hold on tight. Don't get thrown off!"

 Sir Stefan supported my body.

Sir Ciel stepped forward to shield us, spreading his arms wide, and multiple black whirlwinds appeared in the air.

 "Black Death Flame Dragon."

From the whirlwinds, several long, black, snake-like dragons made of fire emerged, tearing apart the monsters and incinerating their bodies as they fell.

The Witch's hand came down towards us, as if swatting away small bugs.

The fire dragons wrapped around her hands, binding her so she couldn't move.

The Witch's hands were burned by the flames, charred, and began to disappear.

But it was only for a moment, as 2 hands regenerated from the body of the woman, hanging upside down from the powerful red moon.

Many monsters were defeated and scattered by Mr. Lucian, Nel-Nel, and Sir Ciel, but it seemed like monsters were endlessly being born from the red moon.

Chains were wrapped around the Witch's body.

However, with every twist and struggle, the chains gradually rusted, warped, and crumbled away.

Mer-Mer was very large, but the Witch's hands were even bigger compared to Mer-Mer.

It was like the difference between a human and a butterfly.

As those 2 hands envelop us, they stretch out and open.

On those hands, a red, mysteriously glowing geometric pattern emerges.

Sir Ciel furrows his brows, showing a rare expression, and turns to look at us.

"Your Majesty, I entrust Ms. Lydia to you. ──I will open the final path."

 "Sir Ciel...!"

"It's okay, I──I haven't heard your reply yet. Besides, I've decided to live. So, I won't die."

Sir Ciel touches my cheek and lightly kisses my forehead.

"May you have the blessing of the goddess. Please, be safe."

"I'm fine, I will definitely come back! To everyone!"

"Ciel ──I'm sorry. I will definitely bring Lydia back."

Sir Stefan looks straight at Sir Ciel with serious eyes.

"Your Majesty. The holy sword can defeat the Witch. ──If the hope of salvation cannot be fulfilled, I ask for your help."

Sir Ciel smiles and gently floats up from Mer-Mer's back.

Beautiful wings, as if made from a combination of jewels, appear on their back.

 "Rainbow bullet."

The sharp, jewel-like particles shining in rainbow colors released from Sir Ciel's jeweled wings pierce through the Witch's hands.

From the hands that have been pierced, multiple beams of light are unleashed.

The barrier created by Sir Ciel protects us and the Holy Capital.

 A thunderous sound echoes.

Some beams pierce through the layered barrier, striking the ground, destroying buildings, and tearing apart the earth.

Mer-Mer slips through the space between the Witch's hands.

In the center of the black, hollow eyes shedding red tears, there are pupils as red as blood.

They looked like 2 red moons floating on a woman's face.

A large mouth opens wide, as if it were torn apart.

A red tongue and stalactite-like teeth are lined up inside a mouth that resembles a deep hole opened at the end of the world.

 "──Sylphina. What a pitiful sight."

 Suddenly, I hear dad's voice.

Dad──now that I think about it, I feel like I was holding him in my hands, but he disappeared from sight partway through.

My dad is floating in front of us.

Not as a puppy, but in human form.

His black hair and the hem of his somewhat old-fashioned priest-like outfit swayed in the wind.

"Alexandria has sinned. She hurt you and turned you into a Witch──locking you away in a prison of pain and loneliness for a long time. It's time to end this. Sylphina, you must be waiting for salvation too."

Dad turned around and looked at me.

Then he smiled gently with a kind face.

"Lydia, you who were always a crybaby, scared, and running away, have come this far. I'm proud of you."

 "Dad!"

 Dad elegantly raised one hand.

Several sharp, white, spear-like things appeared in front of him.

 Spears──. Are they spears?

 It feels a bit different.

"Dad, aren't those skewers for yakitori...?!"

"Yakitori is my favorite food, the cutest in this country!"

Skewer-like spears rained down on Sylphina's body and face.
