Volume 6 Chapter 37 Elder Brother Chrisrain And The Beanstalk

Elder Brother Chrisrain clapped his hands together like he had a great idea, showing a relaxed smile that didn't really fit the situation, and said in a chill voice.

"Understanding each other is really hard, right? I can watch from the outside because I'm not directly involved in the problems of my country, but when you're in it, you can't help but get emotional."

"Lord Chrisrain, I'm sorry for dragging you into this."

"I'm here because I want to be, so don't worry about it, Stefan. You're really serious."

Peach Bun rubbed its big face against Elder Brother Chrisrain's body, bending its long neck.

Elder Brother Chrisrain smiled gently at Sir Stefan, who was apologizing.

"The past can't be changed. But we can choose what to do from now on. What matters to me is what my sister Lydia decides. What do you want to do?"

"...I want to help Sir Ciel. I don't want to fight. I'll find Sir Ciel, catch him, and stuff my cooking in his mouth...! I'm a Saint who can cook...!"

I clenched my fists and declared loudly.

Calling myself a Saint felt really weird, but I felt it was necessary right now.

I have the power to help Sir Ciel.

The power to save him from Eirnelys's control without hurting him.

"I wonder what Sir Ciel likes... I think rice that's easy to stuff in his mouth would be good, so maybe fried horse mackerel...!"

"Isn't that one of Ciel's favorites?"

"Sir Ciel said he likes any food I make, so I think it should be something easy to shove in his mouth. Rice balls are fine too, but today I'm in the mood for fried horse mackerel."

Since Elder Brother Chrisrain asked, I made the shape of fried horse mackerel with my hands while explaining.

I feel like shrimp tempura would be easier to stuff in, but since it's Sir Stefan's favorite, that wouldn't be right.

So, let's go with fried horse mackerel.

I'm sure Sir Ciel would say, "Ms. Lydia's cooking is all delicious," with a kind smile.

 "That sounds hot."

"I might burn my tongue. Well, Ciel caused us trouble, so burning his tongue a little is fine."

Sir Rail and Sir Roxas exchanged glances and said so.

Maybe fried horse mackerel isn't the best choice.

Would macarons be better? Macarons are also easy to stuff in the mouth.

"If that's what Lydia wants, I have to make it happen. I'm your brother. It's my job to grant my precious sister's wishes. ...I don't really like fighting, but maybe I'll try a little harder today."

"Lord Chrisrain, do you have any ideas?"

"Well, yes. I can use space magic. I can connect doors and spaces... I can't cover a large area, but I can create storage space in empty areas. So, I just need to hold off the army from stepping into Edelstein."

When Sir Stefan asked, Elder Brother Chrisrain elegantly reached out to the Wisteria army.

"I have a habit of collecting a lot of things in my storage space. Especially rare plants and things that could be ingredients. I wonder if I can make something delicious out of them."

When Elder Brother Chrisrain snapped his fingers, round plant seeds started falling from nowhere in front of the lined-up Wisteria cavalry.

"These are seeds from the giant bean tree I collected on the farthest island. Roxas, you can speed up the growth of the seeds, right?"

"Yeah. I don't know what a giant bean tree is, but I get the idea."

Sir Roxas held his hand out towards a big, round, black seed that was about the size of my fist.

"What are you planning to do? Take Saint and leave, Your Highness. The talk is over. We, Wisteria, will destroy the monster and protect this country!"

 "──Time magic, Soul Stealing (Dakkon)!"

The voices of Sir Galeon and Sir Roxas overlapped.

The giant tree bean seed, sped up by magic, quickly sprouted and began to grow a thick green trunk towards the sky in an instant.

Many seeds started to grow into giant tree beans all at once.

They twisted around each other, forming a wide and tall wall.

From the grown tree bean plants, flowers bloomed, and huge beans that looked like giant peas appeared.

 They were really big.

They looked a bit too hard to use in cooking.

"The giant tree beans are a bit too big and the beans are hard, as you can see. They're more for looking at than eating, but I think one day they might be tasty. I was thinking of collecting seeds and improving the breed... I'm glad I gathered them. They might hold them off a bit."

"What is this! Mages, step forward! Burn it!"

"Everyone, there's no need to be scared of Your Highness. Justice is on our side!"

I could hear the voices of Sir Galeon and Sir Clifford from behind the giant tree.

"We still have seeds, so if they burn, we can grow more, Roxas. Also, you're not very strong, so I'll protect you, okay?"

 "Yeah. I'll stay."

Next to Sir Roxas, Sir Rail also spoke up.

"Then I'll stay here too. I'm worried if it's just Roxas. If we can't hold them off in time, it's okay to fight, right? Father, will you allow it?"

"That's fine. But the Girard family must not directly harm Wisteria. If it turns into a fight between families, the people will get involved too. The one who will fight is Hero Fox Mask."

"Got it. I'm glad I brought my mask just in case."

Sir Rail pulled out a mask from somewhere when Sir Marx said that.

With the fox mask on, Sir Rail said in a loud voice, "Hero Fox Mask, here I come!"

"It's a shame the princess won't see my brave side, but I'll do our best. So, let's go to Ciel now. There might be the witch's daughter, but with Your Highness and Lucian, we'll be fine, right?"

"Yes. No problem. I will protect both of you."

"Thank you, everyone. Let's go to Ciel with Lydia. If we can just get some fried fish into Ciel's mouth, I'm sure Ciel will come back. Leave the witch's daughter to us."

 "Pumpkin pudding!"

 "Tarte Tatin!"

Prompted by Mr. Lucian, I hurried towards the entrance of Edelstein.

Sir Rail and the others nodded strongly, trusting Sir Stefan.

Eir-Eir and Ms. Famine also shouted loudly in my arms.

"The kids say they will protect Lydia. I will show my true power when the time comes."

"I hope you'll do your best all the time, not just when it's urgent, Dad."

 "I can't do that."

Since my dad is a dog, just having him around makes me feel better, so it's fine.

We rushed into the entrance of Edelstein.

I thought maybe the town would be full of monsters, but the beautiful white streets were empty and quiet.
