Volume 6 Chapter 43 Lydia Rest, To Preach

A red magical wind sliced through Sir Ciel's body.

His skin tore apart along with his white robe-like clothes.

From the tattered clothing, Sir Ciel's skin peeked through.

There was no blood flowing from the torn skin; instead, a cross-section of red gemstones was visible from the gaps in his skin.

 "Sir Ciel..."

Overwhelmed by the sight, I couldn't hold back any longer, and tears started to fall.

"I... I can only make you cry."

Sir Ciel smiled sadly at me as I sat on the sofa, unable to move and crying.

On Sir Ciel's exposed upper body, several red gemstones were protruding from his white skin.

The cracked skin and the red gemstones.

But that wasn't all; eerie human hands were also emerging, wrapping around Sir Ciel's body.

Due to Sir Ciel's magic, cracks were forming on the white, sculpted hands.

 "──Go away, Eirnelys."

Sir Ciel placed my hand once more on the cracked white hand.

 "No...!"

No matter the reason, hurting oneself is not okay.

I don't want to see it. I can't bear to watch.

 Because I promised.

If Sir Ciel can't take care of himself, then I will take care of him even more.

 I will protect Sir Ciel──!

"I don't want this, Sir Ciel...! Please, don't break or hurt yourself...!"

 "...Ms. Lydia."

"Your body is so full of wounds... I don't want this, it's not okay..."

"This body is just stone. I'm half Gem's People, so I can repair myself without any problem if my body gets damaged. So, it's okay."

"It's not okay! The wounds might heal, but that doesn't justify hurting yourself!"

I somehow managed to move my frozen body and rushed towards Sir Ciel.

I tightly gripped the hand that was about to release magic and glared up at him.

"I have the power of Goddess Alexandria, right...? The power to heal any injury or illness...! I can definitely drive Eirnelys out of Sir Ciel's body...! Sir Ciel, I'll serve you more fried mackerel, so please eat a lot...!"

 "The fried mackerel was delicious."

"Then please eat more. If you don't, I'll just shove it into your mouth again...!?"

"...Thank you. Your kindness is too much for me right now."

"It's not too much at all!"

I wrapped my arms around Sir Ciel's back and hugged him tightly.

The white hands that floated on my body did the same.

The jewels shining on Sir Ciel's body felt hard when I touched them.

 But they were warm.

If I were bigger, I could wrap him up completely.

But since Sir Ciel is much bigger, it feels like I'm clinging to him.

"I like Sir Ciel because you're an important friend...! Please don't suffer alone, don't go anywhere, stay with me... please don't hurt yourself, I'm begging you..."

Emotions overflowed and filled me up, making my head feel numb.

It's painful to see Sir Ciel, who has no hesitation in hurting himself as if it's normal.

There's no blood. But the cracked and torn skin must hurt.

No matter how numb to pain he is, it still hurts. It hurts.

Because even a small cut from a knife hurts.

Even the tiniest injury is painful.

Accepting that pain is... I don't want to be unable to say that it hurts.

"...What Eirnelys made me say. What I conveyed to you might be my true feelings. My true feelings that I've hidden deep inside and tried not to think about. ...Hating humans, wishing to destroy them, wanting you, trying to forcefully make you mine."

"...What's wrong with that? It's only natural for Sir Ciel and Gem's People to be angry at the Bernard people. I would be angry too. I hate the bad people who hurt Gem's People! I really dislike the Wisteria people who hurt Sir Ciel!"

I can't like the people who kidnapped Gem's People's children and did terrible things.

I can't like the Wisteria family who mocked Sir Ciel. But I don't think that's a bad thing.

"Still, it's not allowed for me to feel this way."

"Why not? Sir Ciel can say he dislikes what he dislikes. Sir Ciel can be angrier. But... if Sir Ciel can't do that, I promised to be angry for Sir Ciel."

"I remember. ...I was very happy. ...I did something terrible to such a kind person like you."

"I haven't been hurt at all. But, if, just if, really, really, just if Sir Ciel thinks of me as... um, as a lover, then please confess in a more appropriate place, at a nice moment...!"

 Maybe I'm misunderstanding this.

Saying it myself makes me really embarrassed.

 "...Ms. Lydia. ...Thank you."

Sir Ciel hugged my body tightly and pressed his forehead against my shoulder.

Because he brought his body close to me, several white hands emerged from his bent back.

From the center of the white hands, something slid down to the floor.

The dark void that had opened up on his back began to close.

Something that had fallen to the floor stood up.

The thing that was pure white and squishy transformed into the shape of a girl.
