Rize had no hesitation about going down the underground passage that vanished Aisha.
The stairs were short, even though it was dimly lit.
She carefully moved forward, her hands sliding along the wall for support.
The wall felt well-constructed, with no signs of messy building.
It didn't feel like the secret base of a hidden third party.
"Does this mean the person who made this Training Grounds is also in on it?"
She muttered to herself softly.
After saying it aloud, she added a note to her words.
"Only if they are guilty, though."
Despite the clearly suspicious behavior, Rize still wanted to trust Aisha.
There was a chance she might be tricked somehow.
Thinking this, she reached the door at the bottom of the stairs and peeked through the gap.
It was dark, but the room was spacious enough, about the same size as the stage above.
In the deep shadows of the basement, Rize felt the presence of a beast connected to her past.
The unique breathing of a large beast, along with a heat and pressure that she could feel on her skin.
"──A dragon?"
Even considering what she had heard from Belta, it was the first thing that came to her mind.
From the shadows of the stairs, Rize sensed her vision adjusting to the dark little by little.
The moment she caught sight of its shape peering ahead, she gasped.
"A 2-headed dragon!?"
It was a medium-sized dragon, at least 3 times Rize's own length.
However, its shape was bizarre.
It had a strong body like a dog, with 2 horse-like necks, each ending in a head.
One neck was thick and red with a prominent horn, while the other had 6 short, irregular horns.
Both heads rested on folded forelimbs as it slept.
"Huh?"
Seeing this strange sight, she drew a certain conclusion.
A dragon is the end result of a Reincarnator who has failed their rebirth.
It's unusual for them, who should each have one soul in one body, to have 2 heads.
──This meant someone had to be involved.
And the person who was said to lead dragons, which normally do not form packs, clearly came to her mind.
"This definitely has to do with the 'Dragon King.'"

In the center of the basement, she was so mesmerized by the sleeping 2-headed dragon that she momentarily forgot who she was tracking to come here.

She heard this call from just beyond the door separating them.
