Volume 5 Chapter 14 The Temple on the Moon
While the Hero heads off to exterminate the Demon King, I ride on the Demon Dragon Vivre and make my way to the man behind it all.
The place is out beyond the sky, in space.
A special black space where silver stars float.
'Woah... I actually MADE it to space. CRAZY... me...'
This Demon Dragon Vivre was made specially to fight the Great Hero.
It was born with a strong body to handle any environment or situation.
'So that's why it knew it was SAFE here. NICE, Mr. Act...'
Both my eyes are the Eye of the Time King, an S-Rank Appraisal Eye.
They can see the potential in everything.
I already knew Vivre could go this far.
But because of a naturally shy personality, it never fully showed its hidden power.
Being near Lawrence and the Hero Party seemed to give it some confidence, but it hadn't realized its own strength yet.
"We're about to ARRIVE."
'Huh? But there's NOTHING here...'
All that stretched out before us was black space, nothing else.
But I activated the Appraisal Eye.
Then, where there had been nothing, a huge moon appeared.
"It's a CONCEALMENT magic. To keep it hidden from us."
'To spot an ILLUSION that even fools a Demon Dragon's eyes, that's BADASS, Mr. Act.'
"Hmph. Let's GO."
Vivre nervously lands on the empty moon surface.
The moment she touches down, the hidden moon comes fully into view.
'Oh WOW, it really was hiding.'
"Did you DOUBT my words?"
'No way. I TRUST Mr. Act. But also, I think you shouldn't blindly trust ANYONE.'
Yeah, when it comes down to it, you can only count on YOURSELF.
Puppets who just follow without thinking don't help.
Hmph... you've GROWN.
"How much longer are you gonna carry that BIG BODY around?"
"Yeah, yeah."
With a sparkle, her body shines and she changes into a Human form.
A pretty girl with long purple hair stands in front of me.
"So, we're going OVER THERE?"
"Yeah."
[It] was there, with our blue star behind it.
In the black space, just one thing stood out: a white building.
"A temple... maybe?"
"Yeah."
The white temple stood a bit away.
Of course, nobody would think something like this EXISTS.
Usually, there aren't any Humans who can live in a space without air.
"Huh? I'm FINE because I'm a demon dragon, but why is Mr. Act alive and okay?"
"I mess with the TIME in my body, making myself temporarily IMMORTAL."
Because my body doesn't need to breatheMotivate to breathe, I can move around in *space like normal.
"Let's GO."
