Volume 5 Chapter 13 The Villainous Guildmaster, Undercover Activities
I sent off Hero Lawrence and gave my underling Frederica her orders.
Late at night.
In front of the Guild hall.
"About TIME."
I put away my pocket watch.
And then, at that moment──
Fwoosh!
A demon woman appeared in my line of sight.
"Wha──? EH, where am I...!?"
A woman with purple hair...
It's demon Vivre.
"Hey."
"Huh──!? AH, Mr. Act...!?"
I kick Vivre's ass in shock.
"Oof!"
"You're causing a SCENE."
"S-sorry..."
"Follow me."
I take Vivre to the outskirts of town.
"Ah, umm... Mr. Act?"
"What is it?"
"Why am I HERE...? Just a moment ago, I was with Mr. Lawrence, going to defeat the Demon King..."
Geez, looks like I gotta explain.
"I have another JOB for you."
"Huh...?"
"After sending Lawrence, you had some free time, right?"
"Eh!? Th-that's not... TRUE...?"
"You think you can LIE right in front of me?"
My golden eyes are the [Eye of the Time King].
They can see through the past and future, and they have the power to manipulate time and space... an S-Class Appraisal Eye.
"Mm, y-yeah..."
"Once we're done here, I'll send you back RIGHT AWAY."
"Is that... TELEPORTATION magic...?"
"No. It's [Time-Space Summoning]."
"Time... space...?"
Vivre tilts her head, puzzled.
"It's one of the Eye of the Time King's ultimate techniques. I can summon a person in my line of sight to a specific time, right before my eyes."
"Wow... you're still as AMAZING as ever... wait, what?"
"What is it?"
"The Eye of the Time King... doesn't it only have TWO ultimate techniques...?"
He can stop time and kill anyone he sees with [Unique Time Complete Stop (Evil Eye)].
Then, he can rewind time with [Time-Space Super Teleportation (World Destruction)].
"What are you TALKING about?"
Vivre nodded like he understood.
"Ah, I see. You trained to get STRONGER for Mr. Lawrence and the others. As a backup plan if they fail."
"Hmph... Don't get it TWISTED. I just trained myself so my subordinates wouldn't get cocky. They wouldn't follow me if I was weak."
"I see, I see. Let's go with THAT."
Vivre said in a nice voice.
He's starting to be like Frederica, including Lawrence.
He acts like he knows EVERYTHING.
Seriously.
"So, Mr. Act trained on his own and learned a new SECRET technique, right?"
"That's right. Though, [Time-Space Summoning] teleports the marked target across time and space to me, so they'd die if it failed, and anything I summon could die because they can't handle space travel."
"Wait a second AAAAAAAAAAA!"
Vivre blocked my way.
"Huh, WHAT!? It's such a DANGEROUS technique!?"
"Yeah. That's why it's a SECRET technique."
"TELL me before you use it! I need to get ready, you know!?"
"Don't worry. I can see the FUTURE. It's unlikely to fail."
"It's not ZERO, is it!? Don't use this secret technique TOO MUCH!"
"I'll do what I can."
"Ugh...! Acting all HIGH AND MIGHTY..."
Soon after, we came into the forest.
"So, why did you CALL me... but, you want something, right?"
Vivre looked at me with red eyes.
"You hate wasting time. If you're moving, who takes care of Mr. Lawrence and the others, it means something BAD is happening at the same time that Mr. Act needs to step in."
Seriously, he's starting to talk on his own like Frederica and Lawrence.
"Hmph... If you UNDERSTAND, shut up and obey. Transform."
"Okay."
Vivre's body starts to shine.
It changes into Demon Dragon Vivre.
I get on top of it.
'Where are we going? The ground? Underground?'
"No... UP."
I point at the sky.
There's a full moon floating there.
"We're going to SPACE."
"Understood! Wait, EEEEEEEEEH!? SPAAAAAAAACE!?"
I stomp on Vivre's head.
"Go ALREADY."
'But... I've never been to space before...'
"If I say go, then GO. No problem."
"Y-yes, sir..."
Vivre spreads its wings and flies into the sky.
...What I'm about to do is kill my master.
The mastermind this time is the Transcendent, Amou, who taught me how to use these eyes.
They're not on the ground anymore.
They're on the moon, messing with Lawrence.
So... I'll go to them and CRUSH them.
