Six months passed since Benjamin left.
Cain spent those 6 months training "Mana Control" in the mornings and using [Earth magic] in the afternoons.
Thanks to that, his Lv. went up to [Mana Control: 2] and [Earth magic: 2].
Also, when he learned [Mana Control], his MP and the [Unlimited magic power] skill became active.
He noticed it when the gem of his "Mana Absorber" changed, the "magic stone" turning red.

Like usual, he's casting "Earth Wall" in the garden's magic practice spot (Cain named it himself).
"By my stone will, gather and take shape. Earth Wall!"
After that strong words, a dirt wall shows up from the ground.
It's 1 meter wide, 2 meters tall, and 50 centimeters thick.
"Oh, it's like the ice wall Benjamin made but a dirt version. Let's try hitting it with 'Stone Bullet'."
"...Stone Bullet."
"Clack clack clack." Pebbles hit the dirt wall.
"Looks like pebble shots don't break it. Maybe after hitting a lot, it'll break? Let's test how many shots it takes."
"...Stone Bullet." "...Stone Bullet." "...Stone Bullet."..."
Pebbles keep banging into the wall one after another.
After hitting with Stone Bullet 10 times, the dirt wall crumbles.
"Finally broke it. So it usually can take about ten Stone Bullet hits."
"Sir Cain, practicing magic again? You're working hard."
While looking at the destroyed wall, someone spoke from behind.
"Ah, Gardy. I was testing because my [Earth magic] level just went up."
Gardy, the gardener and driver for the Sanroze family, greeted me.
He's a man in his late 40s with only one arm.
He lost an arm in a monster hunt we joined before.
After that, he was hired by the Sanroze family.
Even with one arm, he handles the carts and takes care of the gardens and flower beds with super skill.
"Gardy, what are you up to?"
"Thinking of planting satsuma sweet potatoes soon for winter. Figured I'd make a field just for satsumas this year."
He looked at the hoe resting on his shoulder.
"Satsumas are delicious. I love them! Especially roasted, they get so sweet and perfect."
Satsumas here are like sweet potatoes on Earth, a rare sweet thing in this otherwise bland world.
"Hey, Gardy, mind if I help? There's some [Earth magic] I want to try out."
"Sure thing, but should we clean up this mess first?"
He said, looking at the broken dirt wall and scattered stones.
"No worries, I'll clean it quick. 'Delete', see?"
Saying "Delete" made the broken wall and stones vanish.
"Whoa, that surprised me again! [Earth magic] sure is handy, huh?"
He patted the ground where the dirt wall and debris had vanished.
They had come to the garden area by the wall together.
There, a variety of vegetables were growing, with root crops at the center.
"Your garden is amazing, Gardy. So many delicious-looking veggies!"
"Thank you very much. Hearing you say that makes it all worth it. Now, I'm thinking of making a Satsuma field over here."
The place Gardy pointed to was hard soil, covered with lots of weeds and stones.
Gardy started moving a large stone out of the way.
"Gardy, wait a bit, I'll plow with [Earth magic]."
When Gardy turned around, Cain was smiling kindly.
