Volume 1 Chapter 36 Tried Using Magic Circle Magic

"Whoa, did I seriously just create a magic circle? But what even is 'daily magic'?"

Cain found himself swamped with questions.

"For now, I've got to figure out what to do with this 'light' magic circle. Let's try writing it down on parchment."

He spread out the parchment on the library desk and placed the bottle of "magic ink" beside it.

 "[Magic Circle Transcription]"

Uttering the powerful words, the magic circle on the window vanished, and the "magic ink" rose up, floating over to the parchment where it automatically drew the "light" magic circle, which flashed for a moment before settling on the parchment.

"Alright, that went well. Finally, I can use [Magic Circle Magic]. Now, how do I actually use it?" he pondered, tapping his chin.

The window opened again, showing the "[daily magic] [light]" magic circle – by touching the "magic circle" and channeling Mana, he could activate it.

"This 'Analysis' is super handy. Thanks, Sir Hero."

Cain promptly placed his hand on the "light" magic circle and channeled Mana.

The "light" magic circle vanished, and on the parchment, a golf ball-sized orb of light floated and shone brightly.

"Yes! I can use the 'light' magic! If I can put magic into a "magic circle", does that mean I can use any magic? Sweet! The possibilities are endless!"

Cain was lost in thought, brimming with excitement for the future.

"Gotta level up my [Magic Circle Magic] skills quick. If only I knew how much experience or how many times I need to use it to level up."

Muttering to himself, he opened his status board.

He noticed an unfamiliar symbol added next to the [Magic Circle Magic] skill display.

 〜〜〜〜

 [Magic Circle Magic]▼

 > An advanced skill that requires the separate [Analysis] skill to analyze magic within a magic circle.

 (Some details omitted)

 Lv1:

 > Mana ink creation

 > Magic circle creation

 > Magic circle transcription.

 "What could this be?"

As Cain imagined pressing the "▼" button, another window popped open, a small [light] magic circle glowing in the top right corner.

"Could it be... I can stock the created [magic circles]? This really speaks to the collector in me. So many things to do, it's exhilarating!"

Cain danced around, his joy impossible to contain.

After dancing for a while, expressing his happiness to the fullest, he went to find Randolph to resolve his questions.

He asked a maid he met along the way for his location and made his way to the servant's quarters.

"Knock-knock-knock," Cain called out to Randolph after rapping on the door.

 "It's Cain, is Randolph here?"

The door opened, and Randolph appeared.

"Master Cain, what can I do for you? Would you like some refreshments?"

"I came because there's something I want to ask Randolph. Is that okay?"

"Of course, I'm at your service. Please, ask anything within my knowledge. Would you like some tea as we talk inside?"

Cain entered the quarters and took a seat at the table.

"Um, do you know what [daily magic] is? I came across it while examining the [magic lamp]."

Randolph pondered for a moment before beginning to explain.

"[Daily magic] is a topic of much debate, but it's said to have been created by the 'Sir Hero' you read about the other day. [daily magic] is very convenient; anyone with Mana (MP) can learn it. However, there is one limitation: the number of spells one can learn varies from person to person."

"Huh, that's some interesting magic. Think I can learn it too?"

"Certainly, you can. If you go to the church and make a donation of a set amount for each spell, they will grant you the knowledge."

Cain thought it was odd that you could get it from someone who wasn't a god.

"Hm, thanks. Can you tell me who else in the mansion can use [daily magic]?"

"Certainly, the chef can use [ignition] and [purification], the head maid [cleanup] and [blow]. I can use [light] and [cooling]."

"Thanks. Randolph, could you use [cooling] for me?"

Randolph demonstrated the use of "Cooling" in my tea.

Cain had acquired the "Cooling" magic circle.
